post surgical abdominal pain

After having abdomimal lymph node dissection two months ago, I have severe pain  from right next to the incision site, down into scrotum. Terrible pain after standing, walking, yesterday bike riding for and hour.  It's fine after reclining for a bit and then no pain at all.  No lump like a hernia to push back in.  Any ideas?

To: vkh,
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
If you had a proper abdominal surgery then the cause could be adhesions of the surgical site with other internal organs of the abdomen.
The pain due to adhesions can be a dull ache, a shooting pain, a pain as though your intestines are being pulled out or a pain that appears to rip the abdomen apart. The type of pain that develops depends on the degree of adhesions and the internal organs that are feeling the pull of these adhesions. The only way to diagnose them is through laparotomy.
The other possibility is infection just below the incision site. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining.
Please discuss this with your doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
