Your symptoms could suggest hyperhydration, (water intoxification), however you dont drink too much water.  The balance of electrolytes in your body may be off from your dieting and increased water intake.  When you work out, you should try drinking sports drinks (ie. Gatorade) to raise the electrolyte levels in your body.  You may find that you feel better.  Have you cut down your sodium too much?  I had similar symptoms that lead my nutritionist to believe that my sodium levels were too low.  I increased my sodium intake and the symptoms went away.  Sodium is a crucial nutrient to the body when working out/dieting, as your body uses up more of it (sweating, low sodium in diet, ect).  Look to bodybuilding.com for great dieting tips and meal plans that work.  Its a great site, one I recommend to anyone looking to become more physically active.  Good luck to you.

Hi --- I agree with bweb. Your physician may also want to check your heart and/or nerve health... just to make sure you are healthy enough to exercise.

Good luck with your appointment.

Hi.

You might want to check your blood sugar levels.  Thirst can be a symptom of diabetes, which you may now be more sensitive to as you have changed your diet.

Not familiar with SLim Fast, but it could possibly be a diuretic, making you dizzy.

You might just be having a reaction to your change of diet, but if you still feel odd in a week or two, I suggest a visit to a Physician.

thanks, i have increased my water tremendously. i drink out of a 16 ounce water bottle. maybe 4-6 a day. so i guess that equals 8-12 glasses. my problem is im so thirsty! plus i try to combat hunger lol. maybe i will cut down. i do have a cup or two of coffee too plus fruit. im also stressed so i think maybe that has some to do with the headaches, grinding and clenching my teeth all the time. i wear a nightgaurd, but maybe i need to have it adjusted. thanks for your input :)

First good for you to start a healthier life style.  Just beware of too much water intake especially when not excerising and sweating for the extra intake of water.  Beleive it or not to much water can cause a person to feel shakey, nauseas and have headaches.  Not sure if you caught what happened in california but a radio show was having a contest on drinking water and someone died from over consumption.  The next day in my local paper was an article about water in take and what to have.  Yes it was a crazy amount.  But the 6 to 8 glasses for women is plenty especially when someone is having other liquids like shakes.  Food, coffee and fruits and veggies can also count as water intake.  Try cutting back on water for now and see if that may help.  Another tip the article gave was if your urine is too watery looking and not yellow then you possbily could be drinking to much liquid.
