Groin pain

Groin pain

Ive been having dull groin pain for like a month.  I went to a doctor(since im only 15 it was a pediatrician) and he searched that area and found that I had some bumps in my groin( he said swollen glands) I also have some condition on my foot which is dermatitest or something, and gave me some cream, the rash seemed to go away and so did the pain until today when I played a sport and had to wear a protective cup.  The pain is still with me slightly and im wondering if this could be a misdiagnosis and if it could possibly be cancer.  He said the dermatites on my foot deposits into my groin area creating the swelling. I trust him, being the doctor, but im a little skeptical, Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks again
