I was told recently that I have a large tumor on my left kidney. The uroligist said the kidney would have to be removed, as the tumor is in the center of the kidney and covers most of it. The thing is he ordered tests as he says my right kidney is split and he does not believe it is pulling its weight. The tests were ordered then they called to tell me to schedule an appointment to go over results. Well the appointment is for Jan. 18, 2007. This was a month away is this normalNormal saline flush? Or do I need another doc? I still do not even know if the tumor is maglignant, as no tests were done to check.
I hope you are doing well, seeing that the posting was a year ago. You must have asked about a biopsy on tumor on left side....they only remove if absolutely necessary. Mine was benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo but taking up all area of abdomen and also part of kidney..removing it would be to remove kidney...kidney scan reported 70% function. If your right kidney is problematic as well, I sincerely wish you luck. I am sure they are being careful and not removing anything unless absolutely necessary. When they found the tumor, I asked about biopsy and they said "no need, for this type is benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo"...they look at shape and texture and can tell.
