I have very large bilateral parapelvic kidney cyst according to my urologist. The cyst are atleast 7.... in size. They are located unusually on the inside of the kidneys by the aorta and veinacava. My creatine was high when I had a stone and waiting for new results. If my creatine is normalNormal saline flush, is it most likely that I will evenually need surgery because the cyst are painfulPainful menstrual periods and so large. How uncommon is this? My one Doctor seems concerned and the other does not say much. I've had the cyst for atleast 20 years but hurt more often.
Can you give me a hypothesis, of course I will still see me doctor. Can they be drained without a serious operation or removed given the location near my artery?
Hi,
Since you’re symptomatic due to the cysts, you will definitely need some intervention for the treatment of the same. Previously, percutaneous aspiration of the cysts used tobe done but since it’s associated with complications, it has been abondoned nowadays. Open surgery is also associated with complications and hence I’ll suggest a laparoscopic removal of the cyst as it has got a low morbidity, less postoperative pain and good cosmetic results. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
