Lump under skin of penis

Hi, for a couple of weeks now I have noticed a lump under the skin of my penis, it's on the top and about 4/5 of the way up the shaft. It's also directly adjacent the larger vein on the top of the penis, I'm pretty sure they might be joined. It's circular about 1cm in diameter and is larger when the penis is erect and it has a small dint in the middle so it may be a vein that is in a circle. I am only 16 years old, but I am worried that it could be penile cancer and want to be sure and I am considering telling my parents and seeing a doctor. I know it's extremely unlikely for someone of my age to get penile cancer but I don't want to miss it if I do. I have stopped masturbating recently to see it it subsides. I have done a lot of searching and it may be a thrombosed vein, but I can't be sure.

Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be folliculitis,cyst or thrombosed lymphatic vessel. Although less likely but Mondor’s disease has to be ruled out.

Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it.You  can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lump persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a urologist. Doppler ultrasound may be needed to confirm the diagnosis.
