The recent development is that my son has been detected for bilatoral verococele. The semen counts are six million. Doctor suggested further tests of LH, FSH,Prolectin and testrodin. The last two test I could not read properly. Doctor may suggest operation after seeing the results of these tests. My son and I am very much worried because of less semen counts.Kindly suggest me whether my son can have children after marriage. Whether he should go for operation. In case if he goes for operation pain will be reduced or not. How to increase semen count after verococele operation. When he should go for marriage. What is the reason of his semen counts going decreased. Whether his testerone and other semen counts also will be less.
Thank you for your reply. I will definitely keep in mind your advise. You have taken so much pain to reply me. I should be grateful to you.
Hi, a Canadian here. Pain in the testicles and scrotum can have many origins. For quite some time I used to come down with epididymitis and orchitis about every 3 to 4 months requiring hospitalizations.
I do not fully understand that doctors are not able to give a cause for these problems. In my case it might have had to do with the fact that I have a neurogenic bladder. I started having problems in my early 20's and still have urological problems today.
On a few occasions I could notice blood in my semen and therefore an infection. I have been married for 21 years now and my wife and I had the amount of children that we thought was best to have due to my frequent ilnesses and hospitalizations. In order to stop infections from spreading into my testicles I had a vasectomy in 1999. I had read that this was done on males after having received prostate surgery.
Since 2000 I have not had any further infections in my remaining testicle. I lost my left as the result of a complication from the vasectomy.
I'm not suggesting that your sone should have a vasectomy but I just wanted to let you know that pain in the scrotum and testicles can have many different origins.
In my case doctors were unable to determine what caused the infections.
Since your son ended up with thesed problems after sexual contact, I would start to look in any possibilities being of sexual nature. If one urologist was unable to diagnose a problem then perhaps a second or third opinion should be considered.
I used to work as a heavy duty mechanic and during the first few days after coming down with aninfection, I was unable to work for about 3 days in a row. After that I returned to full duty.
Over masturbation can also be a contributing factor. This pain can be felt in the scrotum and testicles. It can also drain energy from a person. This could explain why your son has a difficult time going out in the mornings when it is cold. One thing that your son should do is to cut down on masturbation.
Riding a bicycle can also be a situation to agrevate pain in the scrotum and testicles.
I'm a bit surprised that you seem to be the one who organizes your son's medical care at the age of 24. At the age 21 Iwas working as a heavy duty mechanic and took care of my own afairs. At the age of 25 I got married to my wife of the last 21 years now. Prior to getting married I had allready experienced several severe kidney infections and had been seen by 2 different urologist. In 1995 I underwent trans urethral resection of the prostate and bladderneck due to an obstruction.
I have had mny different problems with very few answers. I feel that at the age of 24 your son should be looking after his own medical afairs.
It is quite possible that urologists can't explain as to why he is having these problems.
I scincerely hope that he can get the help that he needs to get this problem resolved.
All the best.
Ron
Even after lapse of so much time my son complains different problems like pain in back side of scrotal area, closed nose and dizziness, giddiness with body pains. A boy of 24 year age why should he have all these problems. He was shown to several doctors so far. No body has indicated any major problems. His test for urine culture was done one month back which was normal. He was given tabs 'augmetin' for two weeks for pain. He has got a cyst also in scrotal but it is not major. He was checked by sex doctor for VD diseases who performed physical check of his organs also and inform no problem. He was having infection in his semen as per the tests done one year back for which he was given treatment but after that again semen check was not done. He was having low semen count also but he is still unmarried. He says that his problems have started since his sex encounter in Canada. He was also suffering from depression for one year back which reoccurred recently and is taking medicine like Mirtaz 15mg (one daily)and fludac (daily 2) . What could be the reason for these symptoms. What are the tests he requires to undergo. Her urine test was showing presence of puss cells 2 to 4. His scrotal scan shows mild vericocele and prostate enlargement to little extent. Which was not given importance by the doctor. He says he is not able to go out in the morning cold. He says he is getting cold very fast on taking any thing cold like ice cream.
Crusador,
If it is a dragging sensation your son could well have varicocele problems. I did, and they started in my early twenties. A full exam by a competent urologist is in order to get a proper diagnosis. My problem with them came along in the eighties. Urology has advanced considerably since then.
