OKE...ANYONE...prostatits?

Hey Oke, you answered a question below from dazed, and said that bacterial prostatitis can be passed through sex. I thought bacterial prostatitis was not an std. Anyways, here's my situation.

I was diagnosed with gonorrhea 13 weeks ago. I was treated with 250mg shot of Ceftriaxone and 1000mg of Zithromax. Symptoms went away after 10 days. 3 weeks later, started having a sensation in the back of the testicle. Had 3 separate urine amplification tests for gonnorhea/chlamydia, all of which were negative. Saw urologist, did an ultrascan and then took some prostate fluid and said it was infected. My urine was clean. Gave me 6 weeks of Trimethoprim. I'm currently on my 5th week, and it hasn't helped at all.

1) Is it possible that my gonorrhea wasn't treated, even though my treatment was the best treatment for both gonorhea and chlamydia? I would blame my prostatitis to the gonorrhea if I wasn't adequately treated...but i was treated one week after exposure.

2) If my prostatitis was caused by one of those stds, then when I ejaculate, wouldn't that bacteria reinfect my urethra and cause a urine amplification test to show positive for gonn or chlam?

3) My doc didn't perform a culture of the prostate fluid, b/c he said it's hard to determine the bacteria.
