Pain in and around Testicle

Subject: Pain in and around Testicle

Forum: The Urology Forum

I have been having pain in my right testicle for almost a year.  The pain comes and goes, but as of late has become increasingly intense. After having trouble finding a urologist who would even see me, I finally went to see one today.  My symptoms include pain in the scrotum on the right side; it feels as if this pain is more related to the epididimis (sic?), and I also have the feeling of nausea that I usually associate with having taken a sharp blow to the testicles.  I have examined myself for lumps and haven't found any, but the epididimis is extrememly sensitive and touching it increases the feeling of nausea and pain.
The urologist examined both testicles and both epididimises (with the examination of the right side being almost unbearable), he did a urine analysis  and then said, "There's nothing wrong with your testicles and your right epididimis feels fine, go home."  He said he felt nothing that would lead him to believe that I have TC, either.  He made no further mention of any of the issues that I am seeing posted here (variocele, spermatocele, etc.)
And still, I'm in unbearable pain.  He suggested I go see my gp, but I know what hurts here and it seems to me a urologist would be the one with the answers.  Has anyone had a similar experience or have any helpful advice?
Thanks.
