I'm male here and while I was in the local hospital with pneumonia and a severe kidney infection that I noticed passing air through my catheter and penis.
Once discharged from the local hospital I had a review with a urologist who had been treating me for erectile dysfunction. When I told him he suggested to do a cystoscopy. When this was done there was a passage between the prostate and rectum.
I'd advise you to get it infestigated if you have not allready done so.
