In 1994 I experienced a hydrocele presumably cause by non-specific epididimitis.  My physician used transillumination and a manual exam to determine that I did, in fact, have a hydrocele and gave me a prescription for a course of antibiotics.  I haven't had any problems associated with the hydrocele, but I find it cosmetically unattractive  --  my left testicle is about 2 1/2 times the size of the right one.  My wife doesn't mind, but I do, and I wonder if it is possible to have the hydrocele aspirated now that there has been no sign of infection in over 4 years?  I would prefer aspiration to surgery.  I'd be grateful to know my options.

I had a hydrocele surgery four days ago and it really is not all that bad.  The best thing about surgery is that it will not come back. Hope I was a little helpful
