I am a 56 year old male. About 6 weeks ago, I discovered a small hard lump about the size of a BB on my right testicle. It seems to be on the outside of the testicle and doesn't cause any pain. I realize that I need to mention this during my next physical in about 6 months. But is this something that I need to get checked out sooner?
This kind of hard bump which is present outside a testicle can be a cyst like epididymal cyst or a benign growth of the skin or testicles. You need to get an ultrasound testis done to confirm the diagnosis. Diagnostic or therapeutic fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC ) may also be needed to confirm the diagnosis. My sincere advice would be to consult a urologist and get these investigations done.
