Swelling-spermatic cord
I have a small swelling (about 1/2" diameter) just above the right testicle on the
spermatic cord  (near, almost touching the testicle). It is quite soft, is not painful,
and causes no discomfort whatsoever.   I suspect it has been there for some time
but I only noticed it recently.  There is nothing comparable on the left testicle.
Should it be a concern?

Hi,

A painless swelling in the described region can be an epididymal cyst or a spermatocele.
Epididymal cysts are usually harmless and do not cause any problems.

As such, they do not need any special attention or intervention.

However, if you notice any change, such as increase in size or pain, do contact your doctor to rule out an infection in the cyst.

Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
Regards
