Thrombus vein along Spermatic Cord. How to treat?

by dootzhead, Sep 17, 2009 09:45PM
I had an endoscopic herina repair a few years ago and i have two inguinal hernias with fat pads that have decended into the testicles. Now.. I have and may have had due to the surgery a thrombosed vein running along the spermatic cord. The swelling and pain is unbareable. Two  Urologists and one surgeon and a  GP all said that they did not know what do to though the ultrasound showed the thrombus and the fat pads on the CT.. The fat pads could be removed on an exploratory but my main concern at the moment is this Clot ( thrombus ). I have been in bed in excruciating pain for 8 plus weeks now. I just took  a new job and was to start monday but after one day on my feet i was so swollen on the right side that i could go no further until i took percocet and I have been taking 800 mg ibuprophen tid.  It is the only relief i can get. HELP ME.. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO? WHO SHOULD I SEE FOR THE THROMBUS? Should I be seeing a Urologist or a Vasular Surgeon? Two uros said that they have never seen this before and just plain didnt know what to do. I dont understand why I am not on Coumadin therapy or Heprin drip or something with bedrest.   Please tell me who you might think can help me and what the treatment options might be.

I thank you dear sir for trying to help me get relief from my suffering.. or worse yet.. throwing the clot and dying.. that is what happened to my father  with a knee injury a week later.

THIS IS A TIME CRITICAL POST.. please help me!

hey whats an endoscopic hernia repair? i also would like to know, are you having any numbness, tingling, pain, etc. in your actual penis? when i was only 5 i had a hernia operation, but it left my left testicle much smaller than the other and ive never had problems other than it slips out of the scrotum on occasion (no pain though).  but now lately, (along with many many other symptoms) my penis has been going numb and my orgasms have not been as intense, and ive noticed now that my left testicle feels "bumpy" i guess, and not smooth on the inside of the scrotum like my right testicle does.  i dont rmember it ever feeling like this until maybe a few monthes ago, and it didnt bother me until i started having the penis problems start. i wish i knew more or could share more with you but im pretty freaked out right now..as im sure you are as well. hope you find out whats going on with you though! i just wonder if my hernia operation years ago has anything to do with my latest symptoms now.
