potassium meds for kidney stones

by joycemb, Aug 24, 2008 12:33PM
I was wondering.  I have a history of large kidney stones.  The uroligist put me on potassium citrate 3 times a day.   however when I was in the hospital in June, because i was given too much cumiden and I passed out because my blood was way to thin, they took me off of potassium citrate and put me on potassium chloride.  Now the dr the other day said I should take both.  however, since I am doing this I have felt worse.  taking both of them.  seems like my legs (knees hurt more, even tho I have arthritis)  can you get too much potassium?
