testicular discomfort

After 3 weeks from the surgery testicles are swolen and painful to touch-is it normal development after the prostatectomy? Also there is a red surface irritation spot on the penis-has it anything to do with the surgery?
Thank you, Dr.

After a radical prostatectomy you may have scrotal swelling and some discomfort that persists for a while. Three weeks after a radical prostatectomy is not that far along. Discuss this with the urologist who did your surgery and see what his/her experience has been in this regard.
The red surface irritation is probably just that, local irritation. If it persists, ask your urologist to look at this.
