urinary incontinence

I  had a monarch sling procedure done on July 27,2009 and had it removed on August 1,2009 since the doctor removed the sling I have went from stress incontinence to complete incontinence . During the intial procedure the doctor puntured a hole in my bladder . I have been falling since the last procedure due to tremors(spasms).

What do you think caused the complete incontinence?
What do you think caused the leg problems? ( I am in a wheel chair.)
What do you think my next move should be?

Hi,  I don't have enough information to tell what happened.  It's common to perforate the bladder with the instruments used for your sling surgery. If the puncture is discovered the instrument is removed and replaced in a better position outside your bladder and the bladder heals in a week.  The bladder puncture shound have not caused the sling to be removed unless the puncture was not recognized at the time of the surgery. The dissection of the tissues around the urethra to put the sling in can weaken the urethral sphincter mechanism or support, causing worse incontinence with the sling out.  I have no idea what would be causing the leg weakness and spasms.  Your next step is to talk with your Urologist about the options to fix the incontinence and a consult with a neurologist to evaluate the leg weakness and rule out a nerve injury.  Good Luck.
