What do your docs say about ibuprofen?

Im six years out from a true gastric bypass.  I have kept my weight off and have done well.  I've had lots of problem with my legs though.  I had two knee replacements last year.  Because of a lack of ability to take any NSAIDS, I ended up on methadone and narco.  Now I'm trying to get off of it all.  I would love to take one of those Aleve.  Every time I take something, even if it's with nexium or prevacid, my stomach hurts.  I feel really hungry and it starts a carbohydrate cycle.  Has anyone had success taking NSAIDS after gastric bypass, or any good advice from their dOCTOR?

Thanks for chiming in on this; we don't get many people with gastric bypass questions, so I'm at a loss.

Hope both of you will stick around to help others who have questions on the procedure.

I don't know of anyone on this forum who has had gastric bypass, but maybe someone will come along.

I would say that taking NSAIDS would be something to discuss with your doctor, as there could be all kinds of repercussions if the wrong medication is taken.
