B vitamins are NOT weight loss vitamins.  They are called the "stress vitamins" because they do help cope with stress and if you are deficient in these vitamins, they MAY give you extra energy, which might help give you incentive to exercise more.

Thank you Barb & pinkbelle. I have not been taking my vitamins lately and maybe that is one reason I have no energy and the stress has been getting to me so much.

Glad I saw this post.

Are you specifically taking B vitamins or a "multi"?  both are important but if you are deficient if b12, you might have pernicious anemia.  It's main symptom is fatigue, lack of energy.  That's what I have and I have need to inject B12 every 2 weeks or I just can't function properly.  You might want to have that checked..

Good luck and I hope you get more energy.

I've been tested for B12 years ago - was OK. But I take off and on B6, B12, or just a B vitamin multi. Every time I read articles on B vitamin deficiencies, I seem to fit the description and have a lot of the symptoms.

I'll have to read up on it again. But the fatigue has been bad lately. Wouldn't hurt me to start taking the vitamins again. Thanks.

Just because your levels were good "years ago" doesn't mean they still are - good thing to have checked.  AND just because you fall into the "normal" category, doesn't mean that's "normal" for your body.  I actually fell into the normal category also, but it was so "low normal" that the doctor called it anyway.  The shots do a world of good.

Hope you decide to get it checked again.  Good luck.
