I was away from Friday through Monday in Chicago at the MedHelp Ovarian Cancer support group get together. I did get a lot of walking in but had very bad eating habits and indulged a lot. Didn't get a lot of sleep either so am trying to get the bowels back on track, increase my fluids, and get some badly needed rest. Got home late Monday. Yesterday was catch up day on all my forums, emails, work, etc. and never left the house. Today my plan is to get some exercise via housework as I take breaks from work. I work from my home office so this helps. Back to eating healthy today and longing for vegetables!
Wow -- you made me tired just reading that............let me see if I can "top it"....lol
My day was a "whirlwind" that started when my alarm went off at 3:30 this morning........for those of you who don't know me -- that's the time I start my day because I have to be AT work by 6:00 am and as most of us do, I have the usual "getting ready for work" (shower, hair, etc), then there's the little chores around the house -- feeding dogs, picking up, gathering stuff to take to work (meds, lunch, etc), then the 30-50 minute commute - depending on traffic........and I can't just walk in at the last minute and go to work -- I have to have time to have coffee, get my head into "work mode", etc.
Okay -- that's confirmed -- my day starts at 0330.......I hit the floor running every day and TODAY was on the go until 2:30 when I get off work --- came home to sick husband....
For breakfast, I had a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter and banana........ sorry to say, I didn't have time to stop for lunch, so that ended up being a bag of potato chips (150 calories) on the go -- the only forgiving thing was they had sea salt instead of regular salt............yippy skippy Yeah, I know Ranae is going to tell me I should have planned better...................lol
Off work at 2:30, home just before 3:30 to find that hubby decided he was hungry at lunch. I've no problem with that, except he cooked bacon and left BOTH the pan AND the grease on the stove.........Took the dogs for a walk, cleaned up the kitchen - yep the bacon pan AND the grease-, did some laundry, called my 91 yr old aunt to make arrangements for her doctor appt later in the week and if you haven't gotten tired reading this --- you are a lot younger than I am..........lol
Dinner was a smoked pork chop -- like I need THAT salt?? and Easy Mac -- yeah, I know --- I should have taken time to fix some veggies, but just didn't have it in me. Oh, BUT --- I did eat an apple this morning for my "second breakfast". Since I eat shortly after 4:00 am - before I leave for work -- I'm always hungry around 8-9:00. Oh yeah, that apple tasted good...........
Now, it's almost 7:00 and this little gal (well, I can wish, can't I?) must get to bed because 3:30 isn't too far off.................
Even though I don't think I ate a lot of calories, I do hope you gals/guys ate better than I did today. AND I hope you got some exercise, because *I* don't have any more energy left and can only hope that my day provided enough.....................Well, I had to load/unload approx 40 cases of bottled water -- that should count as "strength training" right??..............nite, all.............
Eating oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast, a cup of tea and 16 ounces of water. Heading to my cousins to help her pack some things as she is going through a divorce. Will either eat a healthy lunch with her or stop at Panera Bread for a healthy lunch ... or ... maybe California roll sushi at Taki! ;)
Then heading to see Grandma in the nursing home and sign her flu shot papers .. she's 101. Going to the grocery store and making vegetable beef soup and then coming home.
Yes, exercise is on the agenda. Either 20 minutes of an aerobic video and/or a walk. Got to get moving again!!!
Oh .. and reading and posting (later) some positive motivation. Oops .. will go post Cherokee Indian story for those who are new. It's a good refresher for everyone!
Have a wonderful day .. and enjoy it .. we're not promised another!
