Sunday Weigh In

Here we are, through another week and weigh in time has rolled around again.

I'm not real thrilled about it this week, because I'm up another pound. I really did watch what I ate this past week, so there are 2 things I can put it down it; that's lack of exercise and water weight.  I did get a lot of exercise at work, but due to things going on after work, I did not get any regular work outs; and I'm not sure what's up with the fluid retention, either. This has been going on for a while now, so I may have to talk to my doctor about it.

Anyway, I went from 146.2 last week to 147.2 this week.

I'll start with week with renewed determination and make every effort to get in a daily work out to see if that will make a difference.

Now it's your turn.  I hope everyone had better luck than I did, but if not, we'll just work on it together.

Finally posting this week's weigh in for us.

Had a sick family this week & I ended up sick myself. Nothing more than a standard head cold, but enough to make us do nothing but lie around for several days. My husband is feeling really bad that Mother's Day was such a bust. Silly goose. He lost 7lbs this week because of being too sick to want to eat. He's expecting some of that to come back over the next week. I lost 3 lbs. I am hoping that none of it will come back.

Good note, we are both drinking a lot more water! Bad note is that trying to exercise today kicked our butts. Just stretching out left us in coughing fits, but it did feel good to work out some of the stiffness. We'll try again tomorrow.

Congrats to everyone who posted whether you lost or gained. By posting you show that you have the will to change, even when things get tough. This community has been a heck of an inspiration to me. Thank you & happy belated Mother's Day!

thanks dear!! OMG I am so much like you. Every night I vow to get up early so that I can go finish my exercise before DH has to go for work(as I have a 4 year old sleeping then)...but I never can wake up early. So exercising happens some days and not some days. I hate my being inconsistent. I am loving this site and you all. Hope this helps me maintain my will power. Yes you are so right in saying that we have to do it together. Thanks for the support.

Welcome to our group.  Well, we all have our down times, as well.  I like how you put it "in the morning you're so full of positivity but at the day goes you fall prey to your taste buds.  I wish I had a nickel for every time that's happened to me.

Another downfall of mine, is starting the day with such good intentions to get all this wonderful exercise and as the day goes on, I fall prey to my tiredness/busyness.  As most everyone knows, I get up very early in the morning and in order to have time for exercise before work, I would have to get up even earlier; therefore I plan my workouts for AFTER work --- NOT a good idea because once I've gone through my work day, I no longer have the energy and all my good intentions have gone down the drain.

I am still working on this -- I'm trying to incorporate as my motto "just do it" --- if I don't give myself a chance to think about it, it doesn't seem so bad.

We are all in this together and hopefully, we can all find ways to help each other through.  Once again, welcome to our group.

Hi everyone! I won't say I am a new user but am certainly new in initiating a post in this forum. I keep on coming to this forum and checking on you lovely ladies all the time. I love your dedication and will power and want to be inspired by you all. I am a very weak person, everyday in the morning I am so full on positivity but as the day goes I fall prey to my taste buds and end up eating a lot. Currently I am 164 lbs at 5'2". June 5th I have a dance performance for which I want to lose at least 14 lbs. I know its tough but I hope to do so with your help. Thanks all you ladies for such a wonderful forum. Hope I can stand with you.

Elaine - the things you have been going through recently have been astronomical and would make anyone discouraged, but you know you have to get a scolding for saying those things about yourself........

What are you doing calling my friend a fat pig??  Just because she's going through a tough time, doesn't mean she deserves *that*!!!

I'm not sure why you felt you were more in control when you were fatter; after what you've accomplished, you can do anything your heart desires...........at any rate, even if you don't, I have the greatest confidence in you.  You will find a way to get through this slump.  Please let us know how we can help.

Karen, 11 pounds is a lot to lose in one week, so please do be careful.  The problem with phentermine is that when you go off it, you will most likely gain back all the weight, unless you are putting new eating habits into place while you are on the phentermine.  It would seem that your pills are still good even if expired.  I'd hate to see you lose anymore than that in a week; it's not safe.

gokuangel - keep working at it.  You went in the right direction and that's what counts.

I am down 11 lbs this week since I started last Saturday. I have been watching everything that i put in my mouth and havent had any sodas- just water. I have been taking phentermine along with dieting for the past week but it doesnt seem to be helping like everyone thinks it should. It was considered "expired" in January (i got the prescription before I got pg and then a month later when I found out I was expecting I had to quit taking it) so I dont know if maybe thats why they dont work anymore. We have gone walking about 3 times this week. I hope next week results are as good but i wont hold my breath, lol.

Elaine you have done so amazing and made such a difference to your weight and your helth -  don't let it slip away now. I use you as an example of amazingness to inspire people all the time -  work on your mindset.... go back to writing down what you eat, counting the calories, and are you still going to the gym?
You have to get back on track - you can't let yourself down...you have done so well... you are inspirational to a lot of people.... You do still have the control - but its about choices.. you can chose what you do and what you eat.... YOU CAN DO THIS.

Well, I'm happy to see that it looks like everyone is doing a good job except for me; guess that tells me I better get  busy and figure out what's going here.  Going to have get into the daily work outs again.  Sometimes, I'm so tired when I get home from work, it's just too easy to sit down at the computer and not do a work out.

Congratulations to everyone.

I am down another 2 lbs which takes me from 195 down to 193  :)

My daughter (weight loss partner) hasn't lost much weight but she keeps sliming down and needing me to make more holes in her belts and her jeans are looser! Yay! :)

Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms on here!

The weight from the flare is finally starting to budge so am down .8 lb. this week.  Will get back into exercise and hope to see some improvement coming up.  I can smell the bacon as my son is making me a Mother's Day brunch so expect my calories to be bad today.

Whatawoman, man you are doing well.  I'm envious!

This week was much better than last. I feel better and I'm doing better. I'm due for my period on Monday so I hope with me being close to my goal weight I won't see too dramatic of an increase. I'm 125.2 so I'm pleased with that. I need to try and keep my weight more level. The ups and downs are very hard for me to deal with and every time I have a bunch of things I shouldn't I get cravings, then it's harder to get and stay on the wagon.

I hope everyone has a great day.
