Strep F post partum

Hi! 7 weeks ago I gave birth vaginally to my daughter. I went for my f/u last week. The midwife did a routine internal and did a culture swab after noticing a lot of redness and liquidity discharge. She suspected BV and gave me a rx for Metronidazole gel. I used the gel as rx and finished the course of tx. Today she called to report the lab confirmed the VB but that they also found Strep F. She had never heard of it before. After discussing it with a colleague they determined all streps are susceptible to most antibiotics and there fore the Flagyl should have done the trick. Does this sound like appropriate tx for strep f?
