bleeding after orgasm

hello, i am 22 years old and whenever i orgasm (always through masturbation and sometimes with intercourse) i bleed very heavily just for a little while (1/2 or 1 hr max). it's usually a very thick and clotty discharge. when i masturbate, there is no penetration, just clitoral stimulation. i have noticed this problem for at least a couple of years and initially my doctor thought it was because i was in depo provera and had abnormal bleeding all the time. i have been on the pill for over 7 months and my periods are back to normal except after this occurrence following orgasm.

in april i had an abnormal pap smear that indicated i had HGSIL (high-grade intraepithelial lesions) of the cervix. after doing a colposcopy/cervical biopsy, my doctor decided that i am going to have a LEEP procedure for a 1/2 cone biopsy, but she isn't sure what causes the bleeding. they also did an endometrial biopsy as well as a saline infused sonogram to check for endometrial polyps and fibroids to see if that was causing the bleeding, but came up negative. they are stumped.

my sister had severe endometriosis at 31 and had to get a full hysterectomy last year. i, however, do not have any pain or cramping whatsoever, just bleeding. do you know what else could possibly cause bleeding after orgasm? it's gotten to the point where i don't masturbate anymore and i don't wait to reach orgasm during intercourse with my boyfriend because it's so grotesque and messy. what could it be?

Crazy to see how many of us are experiencing the same problem with no real answers! Im 21 with 1 child. I have been experiencing the same problem every now and again, with clitoral stimulation, and bleeding after wards. Usually causing me to spot and sometimes bleed for 2-3 days. I am also on Depo-Provera have been for about 6 months now. I stopped the BC recently and didnt return for my 3rd shot, because of this and other problems, which im unsure if its from the Depo or not but its been on going and its worrying me. So Im hoping to get more answers on my return appointment with my GYN.

Awesome post.....going for a hysterectomy next month. Never asked about the bleeding a couple of days after sex but nice to hear I am not alone. Past menopause with very thick uterine lining......D&C showed no evidence of cancer but the docs say there is still a chance of cancer "hiding" in the uterine wall.....so the whole kit and caboodle comes out. Will be so glad not to bleed anymore.

Lala, I am almost 30. I have had endometriosis since I was 15. I was told my irregularity, endometriosis, and polycystic cyst disease (on reproductive organs) would hinder any chance at conception. My husband and I gave up shortly after marriage on pregnancy (we had unprotected sex for a few years at this point)..and 7 years ago I found out I was 4 months pregnant. Have your doc thin your uterine lining through D&C, eat healthy, and don't schedule it. Trying to conceive is stressful and can hinder desired results. Just let it happen naturally and pray about it.  I haven't taken birth control, I spot between cycles (which last up to 2 weeks now), and spot after sex regardless of orgasm or not.  It can be anything from endometriosis to cervical cancer causing yours/my female issues...any of you ladies experiencing similar symptoms could have a serious underlying disease or disorder...GEt IT CHECKED OUT BY A GYNECOLOGIST! Don't self assess!
