fibroids and using the patch versus pills-side effects such as depression

by songbirdollie, Sep 04, 2006 12:00AM
I have uterine fibroids.  I was put on the pill to help control the bleeding a year and 9 months ago.  The doctor decided that it would be ok for me to go 3 months on the pill without having a period.  That seems to be when I started having a lot of breakthrough bleeding.  Then he changed me to the patch and told me to go 3 months without a period.  I was only on the patch for the 4th week and started a heavy period.  I have also noticed that I am more fatigued, apathetic, and just depressed.  I am on Wellbutrin XL and Adipex and have been for the last year and 6 months and lost 90 pounds but now it seems like I just don't care.  Is this normal?  What should I do? Keep using the patch or go back to every 21 days?  Thank you so much for what you do here!
