I had my mirena for over a year and a half, I have two lil ones..and cant stand the side affects that only 5% of women seem to be getting..no period.. but spotting all the time.. (doesnt seem very healthy) I finally go the courage to get mirena removed.. I was so afraid it was going to hurt... It was very quick.. 1st day..nothing but slight cramping... no bleeding.. until the next day.. major cramping.. and bleeding like I did after Birth...(tmi but) .changing a pad everytime I go to the restroom.... anyone else having this? Now I would like to say.. the another major reason I had it removed.. was because I work out 6 days a week and can not loose a single lb.. Today.. only 3 days after removed... im 3 LBS lighter!! Woohoo... Oh.. and the Dr informed me.. before she removed my Mirena..(while im in the office.. which is kinda stupid- they should tell you on the phone) that if I was to have sex 5 days before.. I could get pregnant... because sperm can live inside of you for 5 days... Just a little Fun Fact... so if your going to get it removed.. make sure you are using another form of birthcontrol 5-6 days before removal....And.. the Dr who removed it.. said that the women who come to get it removed... usually complain about their weight...and on average.. they are 40-60 Lbs over weight.. something the manufacture doesnt tell you!!! Thanks Mirena.. but you are no good for me! Good Luck to all you women out there!

Hello everyone, so im new to this and just gonna jot down my exp and issues real quick. had my iud a little over 4 yrs and just had iit removed about 2 weeks ago, i had it taken out at the er bc i was in severe pain with my lower abdomen and back. the iud started to imbed itself in the uterine wall  (the not so nice) er doc pulled the iud out since then i have been bleeding like someone gutted a pig(sorry to bee so discriptive). i cant even go to work or school, or have quality time with my spouse. i been back to the er and they tell me its fine... i stopped wearing tampons which i was going through about 12 a day, and now to pads were im still using about 5-9 pads within  a half day. im scared and doctors cant tell me whats  wrong. if anyone has any feedback im definately all ears.
