Palpitation, Heat and Dry Mouth

For the last 15 years, I've experienced severe palpitations, waves of intense heat (rarely with sweats), and dry mouth during the night.  This generally lasts all night, with brief periods of rest.  Although now on HRT, this began in my mid-30's, seemingly unrelated to hormone imbalances.  I've had a basic cardio exam, cortisol levels checked, as well as T4 thyroid.  I've been to 4 physicians, who tell me it's panic attack, which it's not.  This never occurs during the day, but it's basically ruined my life in terms of sleep deprivation.  ANY ideas at all???

Purple Lips

Hi, I hope you don't mind me putting a question here for other posters to respond to.
I was wondering if any of you get blue/purple lips at any time. I have a healthy heart, but do have mild mvp, mild mr and tr, IST and NCS. My family has told me occasionally about my lips being purple and just recently my niece was eating something purple and said, "You call me purple tongue and I'll call you purple lips"  HAHA  I asked her if my lips were purple and she said yes and sure enough. My lips are pale to begin with, but they get white and purple (mostly). So, do any of you get this and do you have a clue as to why? Thanks.

Dear Racey,

Have you had a Holter monitor test during one of the episodes.  If so and this was negative then you may wish to discuss with your doctor the possibility of having a sleep study.  This is a comprehensive test of heart rate, breathing, sleep levels and apnea during the night.  It may provide some answers to your questions.
