Condom Rupture: Anal Sex: PEP started at the 27-28th hour

Hi i am writing this as 3 days ago i initiated sex with a guy (i had called him for a dick massage due to some erectile dysfunction issue) , i tried to insert my penis , it was just  a starting of anal sex and it broke off ie condom ruptured. On feeling that immediately i stopped and pulled out  and withdrew. I could only feel air inside him when my penis was inside. A visible hole on tip of penis was there. I am an uncircumscribed male, my tip of urethra was thankfully covered with a small remining plastic of condom but i think his anal mucus was present over it which i washed with soap and water. The guy told he was negative. So i had sex with my wife after that. Within 2 hours and ejaculated. Next day after insisting for his testing he said he is positive, i immediately rushed and took 3 drug combination Lamovudine, Tenofovur and D9lutegravur as post exposure.prophylaxsis precisely 1 day 3 hours later. Considering all this can u evaluate my risk. It was my first lifetime anal sex and exposure. I did not ejaculate nor had any rough strokes (no strokes at all). Tip of urethra was covered with a dot like remanant of ruptured condom, i immediately washed with soap and water.  Some say i dont need prophylaxsi s but i took. Please solve my anxiety. The guy appeared healthy but i cant rely on his history he may be in acute phase of infection. Also i took PEP within 3 days ie within the window period which i am still continuing . Will it be effective ?I am at risk i know but many are saying its low risk and i should have continued sex with another condom  and PEP was not required. I am a 32 year healthy male with no H/o multiple partners or STIs. Foreskin no visible abrasion was present. Please solve my anxiety as i told my wife everything she wishes to stop PEP due to side effects considering no risk and low exposure.

As explained before, hiv is dead in air so you  just washed dead virus.

Since the anal was so short it is hard to imagine that you could get hiv. hiv can only infect through the urethra but as far as I can tell from your description the urethra was protected so you would have no risk.

Today he told me his CD4 count as 979 . Does it lower the risk of transmission?
It doesn't matter. You had no realistic risk of getting anything from such brief contact. I've never heard of ANYONE getting HIV from an encounter like yours.

Also, you mentioned your urethra was covered, which would mean you had no risk regardless of how long the contact lasted.
Thank You for your answer. Now since I am on PEP as his status is positive I would like to know things to reduce side effects if this medication. Can i go to gym ? As i fear it ll cause lactic acidosis. And also are the side effects reversible.
Why are you on pep? There is no reason to be. Talk to your doctor about stopping it and if you don't, managing it.
