Hello everyone, yesterday I had a combo HIV test done after 50 days of unprotected sex and the result of the test was written like this, index 0.73. Is this result considered completely negative or an unclear result?
I am currently in Asia and I read on some French government websites that the result between 0.7 and 0.9 is considered unclear. This is the link to the article:
https://www.sida-info-service.org/index-depistage/
.This is a translation of the article:
"""Equal to or greater than 1: the result (ELISA test) is positive but a 2nd test must be carried out on the same sample (Western Blot); Less than 0.708: it is negative. We therefore did not find any trace of HIV in the test ; Between 0.708 and 0.999: it is said to be “doubtful” (or equivocal) and must be checked by a new serology carried out 1 week later."""
