just diagnosed with hashimoto & fibromyalgia

32yo - after feeling exhausted for two years and the doc saying nothing wrong - finally he admitted the test said i had a thyroid issue - i found a expert in thyroid who after seeing me one time and reviewing previous blood tests stated i had hashimotos - i still felt tired all the time (although alittle less after the synthyroid kicked in) achy in pain, going to the bathroom all the time - I thought either diabetes or i'm old - (diabetes runs in the family) - now a new gp says i have fibromyalgia (not sure spelling - havent read a the literature i got with the diagnosis -just diagnosed 2 days ago) they also say i have thalemcemia ? iron deficiency - i just want my energy back - im TIRED OF FEELING TIRED - does anyone else have the these two conditions and what trmt where you given and does the tiredness ever go away - the pain i can i live with - the exhaustion is very frustrating

I had to have a thyroidectomy due to Hashimoto's....I had a sore throat all the time and was tired.  It's been two years and I do feel better....sore throat gone.  Good luck!

I have only read about Fibromyalgia a little bit, but the impression I got is that Fibromyalgia is brought on by Hashimoto's.

It seems to be an advanced form of the changes that occur when Hashimoto's is allowed to run rampant for a time, or from long term hypothyroidism. The physical changes differ only in severity.

Would that be a correct deduction?

Yes, I have been  diagnosed with both Hashi and Fibro...guess what I think they are one in the same.  When my TSH is around 1.0 I feel much better, joint pain goes away.  If I am 3 or above I feel awful.  Everyone is different as related to their range of TSH; however I would be curious to know what your is.
