Is Valium considered an addiction drug?

Do any of you take Valium?  I don't but I have severe anxiety attacks and I am wondering how addicting it is, if at all addicting.  Thank you all!

It is highly addictive. I am now approx 17 days free of withdrawals from it and I can tell you, they were horrendous. If I never see another valium it will be too soon.  I am on an anti depressent for anxiety and to help me through the withdrawals but some people don't agree with ad's. If possible I would definately try and find another alternative to valium.

I hope this helps.  Valium is addictive....VERY  I had to be on it because I have severe anxiety.  After being on it for so long, they changed to Clonapen.  VERY STRONG.. Even thought My Doc prescipes it if I go without for 24 hours I have severe withdrawls and feel like I'm jumping out of my skin.  If you really don't need them try to stay away from them.. they are not easy to come off of.

Good Luck!
