skin tastes bitter

When I lick my lips, my skin tastes bitter. I take Prevacid, and recently tripled my dosage from 20 microgm of Synthroid, to 75 microgm-any suggestions? I also tasted the skin on my hands/arm, and noticed the skin there was also bitter-tasting. I also recently noticed changes with a couple of my moles-one bled just once, and another one appears to have started flaking off

I have it, too. I just found this about B12 deficiency. "While loss of taste can occur in some people who are deficient in vitamin B12, others may experience a metallic taste in their mouth. Having a metallic taste in the mouth can be caused by vitamin B12 deficiency, according to celebrity doctor Dr Andrew Weil."

try cranberry juice it takes the acidity out of your system.  meds can do that and you have to drink lots of fluid if you don't like the juice try the pills i take four a day and it helps.  my tongue was even bitter it comes from the bile.

your moles can bleed without being cancerous but you should get them checked out.  if your skin flakes and have sores on them that is usually cancer.  moles can be just that moles.  if they change shape go to the doctor, go anyway for the peace of mind
