Good to hear from you, you sound more upbeat hope the Doc fixed your fingers and if you are still with that guy that you have had him fixed...meaning that he has understood the seriousness of what he did and had got some help. dont wait for the 'not been anything else happen" .

You are a grown-up and he hits you...does he hit the children, too??  You need to make a choice, not just for yourself, but, for your kids, is that what you want your kids to learn?? That it's ok for men to hit women and that women will put up with it because Mom does, by doing nothing that is exactly what you are TELLING them!!  Kids don't learn from you telling them anything, they learn by watching you and their Dad, please get help for their sakes...and go to the Dr for those fingers...start with baby steps...

So, go to a doctor about your fingers, make something up if you must, but get those looked at.  You will not always feel like you cannot go.  With time, this will change. Or he will get help. (not very likely), but that is a whole different story. Get your hands checked.

It is not too late to go they can reset them so please go and get them checked out,it is important for your health trust me, If it is impossible to leave your situation then is there a way he will sit down and talk to you,has he feelings for you, the drinking maybe is what is affecting him, have you tried to reason with him when he is sober, if he got some help it would be a good thing as it really is bad  for children to be brought up with abuse in their lives. Mean while one other thought when he has been drinking is there anyway you and the children can go somewhere else so you are all not subjected to it have you family /friends around. Lastly.... this is in your hands only you can change this ,you have to want to.. there are shelters today for Women to go,  no one has to put up with it, and get those fingers seen to...,

well he said he would get help and has made no effort to do so,and he said he will not give up the drink.i know it sounds stupid but i actually cant leave him,we do live together and have children and theres just so many things that it would just be impossible to go. im sorry now that i did not see a doctor, its 2 weeks later now and my fingers are just stuck like that, like they have settled in that shape.anyway thanks for your comments and support xxx

Please, please, please go to a doctor and get them fixed.  And tell them exactly what happened.  If you just let it go it WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!  And it will only get worse.  I know from personal experience.  Don't let your bf get away with this.  He will continue to do what he's doing until you either leave him or worse.  I know he will (if he hasn't already) apologize saying it will never happen again.  He will blame the alcohol but won't quit drinking.  I honestly have been there, done that.  He needs to get help.  You need to take care of yourself.  You deserve so much better than that.  You need to believe that.  If you need to talk please feel free to contact me.

I had a feeling that this was the case I am so sorry, you do realise this will happen again and you would be better meeting someone else ,if you are living with him leave, I know thats not always easy to do trust me, but I do know they dont change .If your fingers are sore and crooked you need to get them set , they have to be straightened, I urge you to go to a hospital ,get them x.rayed you will have problems in the future if you dont with arthritis and more. Come back to us and let us know how you are , you can send me a private message or anyone here if you would like to.

I think you need to go to the doctor. What if they heal all crooked and you end up with arthritis on top of that?

I know you can strap them to each other with tape very firmly I had a small broken finger once and I strapped it to the next finger it healed okay . Are you sure you cant get to have it looked at if its the other fingers they may not mend straight.,if you cannot see a doctor bind them to each finger next to them with a crepe bandage.
