This is not good for your baby it will make the child fearful, you should tell him as the others have said to get help or leave .

Hello,

How often does he drink?  Is he an alcoholic?  If so, then he needs to stop and he obviously needs help, but he has to want to stop.  You can't force him to stop, it never works with addicts.  Meanwhile, what you need to do is have a good support system in place, maybe attend some alanon meetings yourself, try and get a job if you don't have one already, a car, a place to stay, money, etc.  You need to take care of yourself and your baby.  There could come a time when he really, really hurts you or the baby.  You also don't want your baby to grow up in that type of atmosphere and learn the behavior, as it's a cycle.  There's a couple other forums here you could check out - the Alcoholism forum, and the Living with an Addict forum.  You will certainly find a lot of support there as well as right here :)

Some people get real nasty while they drink especially in males...
Tell him to stop drinking or thats it, with you having a baby that is NOT a safe place for the baby to be even if he doesnt get violont towards your child. You need to think about whats best for your baby!
