my 3 yr old has unusual sexual behavior

My 3 yr old son has recently been taking off his pants and playing with himself under the covers at nap and bedtime, ive asked him a multiple times if someone lets him do this. his response has been a person who hes very close with most of the times ive asked, the other times he's said he just wanted to do it. with him being so young and often making stories up, i dont know if i should believe him or the person hes accusing. How do i find the truth without causing a huge family problem? Is my 3 yr olds behavior something that could be normal?

While it is quite normal for a 3 year old to fondle himself and become almost obsessive about it, you also need to be aware and on the lookout these days. Pervs are crawling up the woodwork. It is so hard to be a parent these days, I am so glad mine are grown.

See I dont believe small children make up stories , maybe you are hoping he is , so be aware, check out who he is alone with, family , friends ,day care, baby sitters, it sounds as if he is telling you something so listen and believe him ..check out all avenues about what has happened and maybe still happening to him.
