A fairly simple question for all voting for McCain.
Do you feel there will be a lot of change under a McCain administration ?......and what do you think those changes will be ?
Takeing away the Fairness Doctrine has allowed talk radio hosts to get lasy and not have to investigate the statements. I think thats been a problem with the media for quite a few years now, radio and TV etc. They've gotten lasy and will just repeat what ever thay are told.
LMAO.......... The possible reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine, does not in any way take talk radio off the airways. LOL
What the Fairness Doctrine inforces is allowed responce air time on said talk radio from an individual or group that may be attacked on said talk radio.
For example..the way it is NOW........A radio talk show says Sahrah Palin is pregnant with McCains baby and shes a hussy sleeping her way to office. The radio station DOES NOT have to give her air time on that show, so she could defend herself, and the station doesn't need to notify her of what they said.
Bring back the Fairness Doctrine, and Mrs. Palin would have the right to air time on that show to defend herself. And the station would need to notify her of the claims they are making about her.
THIS IS A BAD THING?????

That's why I said, "forgive me if I'm wrong." I have read and heard he was wanting to ressurect the Fair Doctrine Act of 1934. Nancy Pelosi has said publicly that she supports the reinstatement of the Act. I do believe if he's president and congress brings him that bill, he would sign it. I disagree with the reinstatement of that bill.
