A fairly simple question for all voting for McCain.

Do you feel there will be a lot of change under a McCain administration ?......and what do you think those changes will be ?

These are my opinions.  I have respected and read every one of your views - and was sharing my views.  I'm sorry if that bothers anyone.  Maybe I was right to begin with that I shouldn't share my ideas or my views.  Forgive me if I have offended anyone with my opinions!

I have voted for Bush twice and to he honest have been disappointed in many of his decisions.  Not all of them, but many of them.  I do believe he is a man who loves this country. As most of our Presidents, he tried the best he could.

I personally feel that McCain is a different man than Bush.  He has some good ideas that can help us.  I don't put things into words very well, so all I can say is go to his website and read what he wants to do, especially for the economy and environment.  I like his ideas and his way of thinking.  Obvioiusly, we will not agree with everything from our candidate of choice.  In fact, I was NOT a McCain supporter before - I had to go read and read and read and look at the issues and then that's when I made my final decision.

I know in my heart and through prayer and the fact that McCain has that strong integrity that he WILL DO a better job than Bush and a better job than Obama can do.

Those are my opinions.

Hi!  I feel the same way as jo488 in the sense that I want America to be what it's supposed to be and neither party is doing it!  For me, I have to look at the issues, i.e., abortion, immigration, gay marriage, free speech, economy, energy, etc.  For me, McCain supports the energy plan that I want for the country, not Obama.  Just read what it says on his website.  I agree with all of what he wants to do with that.  I believe that he will listen to what the American people will want.  He also agrees with global warming and wants to clean up the environment this is one reason many conservatives have fought him so hard.  Many people, including high ranking democrats have said that when McCain says he'll do something, he will follow through.  That's important to me, because when he says that he will go with what the majority of the country wants - I believe him!  I believe that he has the better economic plan - it's NOT Bush's plan.  Abortion is a HUGE issue for me (as I stated in a different post).  I believe marriage should be between a man and a woman.  Many people say that God gave us "free agency" to choose.   Yes, but he also gave us that free agency by giving us America!  America is a country where we can vote the people in who make law.  So, my agency allows me to choose someone with my ideals.  It is said, and I am only saying what I've heard, so if I'm wrong, forgive me:  that the democrats, especially Obama want to take talk radio off the air under the Fair Doctrine Act.  That's scary.  Once you start regulating any kind of freedom of speech, then what?  You won't have a voice anymore.  McCain does not want to take away those rights and believe me he has every reason to want too, he's been attacked by the liberal radio shows and the conservative ones.    McCain will also follow the second amendment to protect our rights to bear arms.  Obama has stated he does not agree with citizens having weapons.  I'm sorry but that is our given right under the constitution.  In my view, our constitution is better protected with McCain, than with Obama.

I have a question, and no I am not being fecious, I truly don't understand when supporters of McCain, like jo488, say "we need to take our America back and be something we can be proud of".         Seriously I hear that more and more from Republicans  and I don't know who they need to take America back from, since we have had a Republican Administration for the past 8 years.

Please enlighten me,  how are  you "taking America back' from a Republican Administration for the past 8 years and passing it onto another Republican  Administration for the next 4 years, and how will that make you proud of America again?

I will say- that if the abortion issue is more important to a voter than all the other issues combined- then  that voter has every right to vote on the basis of that one issue only.I understand that and I respect that.
I just would hope that the same respect would be afforded to a thoughtful person who votes on the basis of a combination of issues. I don't think it is appropriate to characterize such a voter as a baby killer any more than it would be appropriate to call folks who support the Iraq war murderers.
