I was at a MacDonalds in Wal-mart having a french fries and coffee when I heard a conversation that made me sit up and take notice.They were talking about MedHelp or at least one guy was. He was saying how amazed he was when he took a peek at the site and what went on there. He spoke about how uplifting it was to those who were down and looking for a hand up. That was about as far as he got when the other guy said ,"Big deal, tomorrow they'll be right back at it, you just can't change a junkie."  The first guy never got a word in after that, the mouthy one never shut up and just kept calling down people with drug problems as well as alcoholics aand prostitutes and anyone else who wasn't living by his standards I was thinking of adding my two cents worth when the first guy said," One of these days you're going to take your head out of your *** and maybe you'll see the decency in people even the so called junkies and anyone else you would like to mouth off about.. He got up looked at me and said ,'What a twit," and then left but not before we knocked knuckles. The idiot got up somewhat angril,spilled his drink, unluckily not on himself, glared at me and left. I never enjoyed my fries and coffee as much as I did today.

Unless you have a personal trainer who makes you write everything that goes past your lips down,then a fry relapse is not acceptable.

Man, I wan McDonald's french fries.  I got clean and started eating healthy.  Haven had McD'S in at least 7 months..  But fries..  I can have a fry relapse cant I..

as much as i want to dislike the guy, i do understand where he's coming from...sort of. the only reason is because most average people who are not addicts see it as a weakness rather than something more. they don't have the ability to step outside their own mind and see it for what it really is...all the pain it causes. as much as this view annoys me, part of me is glad that these types of people have no idea what its like. i wouldn't wish that kind of knowledge on anyone...especially first hand. ignorance is bliss.....but that guy just better hope he remains ignorant....because as we all know, the truth is that it can happen to anyone at any time. someday he may actually end up eating his own words. hopefully not. as much as i hate to say this, i would almost rather be that guy and NOT an addict than to be me and know what its truly like to be an addict.
