Great News, Im So Excited About This!

I finally have a GOOD update for everyone and Im so excited!
A few months ago, an author I know had sent me his book (self published) and it was just absolutely riddled with errors, outright mistakes and just a bunch of things like that. Well he ended up being so impressed with what I found in the first book that he sent me some money for that. Then, his second book came out (first printing/advanced reading copy--- with my name in front page!!!) and that one had even MORE screw ups than ever before. I found some fundamental errors that made the whole story unravel and he is busy doing massive revisions because of that plus all the normal grammatical errors, etc.  He said I am amazing at what i find and he's firing his editor because it got by her, (and by himself and a few other pre-readers but did not escape my eye, lol.)  Anyhow he sent me a bonus for this book AND he's been contacting me every night regarding the errors i found in this newest book--- and he offered me the position of sole EDITOR of his 3rd book he is writing right now! I couldn't believe it! He says he thinks Im up for the task (and I do too, Im going to try my best. I LOVE This kinda work, plus he writes horror, so its right up my alley of course). So I'll be making about 500 bucks upfront for this next book, more to come, plus bonuses . Can ya believe that??  I never dreamed I'd get to something like this!  I sure would love to do this full time for any writer that would hire me (or publishing company, you know?!)  what do you think of that??!  (and you guys are probably laughing at the irony that Im a great proofreader when Im so horrendously lazy with my own punctuation and grammar when I write on here, LOL.  I really am good though, when I try! Anyways, just thought i would share my good news with you all! I can't wait to get started on this assignment!

thanks you guys!! I cannot wait to get started, and I already have huge dreams of this being a full time career for me! Geez...nearing 40 yrs old and just now figuring out what I was meant to do in life? LOL

I'll keep you posted on how this all pans out!

Congratulations!!  I'm sure this was just the encouragement you needed. What a difference a month or two can make!  I guess ya never know what's around the corner, if you just hang in there.  You definitely have, and are proof that good things come to those who wait.  Not only did you hang in there with everything, you were proactive along the way.  It makes me happy when people get to do what they love to do, artistically speaking that is.  Congrats to you :o)

And you know what, the best advertising is word of mouth and since he is impressed he will tell someone about you and then they will tell someone about you and so on and so on. Before ya know it, you will have the jobs and money rolling in. Remember me when you get rich ok? Hugs...

I can feel your excitement...that's wonderful!  It's great when you can make some money doing what you love.  Way to go!

Wow trouble I would be excited also !! Way to go.. life is amazing is it not.. just when things look the darkest in walks opportunity and what a opportunity You have been offered !! and something that you love.. I am jealous!!   I hack just a dribble for a local paper but have always wondered how what you are setting up would be - - my perception was that it should be just great............and then you could also write a little...

Wow!  you sound so excited, I am excited for you !  anytime we can get paid for something we enjoy is awesome!  Congrats!!!!!  I would love to write a book, but as most of you know.......I am not the most gifted with words...lol.  

Funny how writers probably have the worst grammar, doctors make the worst patients, and I remember meeting a dietitian that probably weighed 200 lbs.  go figure!!

Such as life.......good luck on your new venture, and make lots of bucks !!  Wishing you much success.  Just don't pick on my grammar & punctuation........
