Who the hell is Sarah Palin......lol. I think it was an interesting strategic move on McCain's part. I don't know where it's going to go........I saw her speak, and I don't like her....lol. I really have no opinion until I see who the heck she is, and goes toe-to-toe with Joey......did you see Biden's speech......Jooeeyyy bloody the bullys nose, Jooeeyy.....lmao!!!! What a dork.
AND THE PLOT THICKENS...............
Very interesting move isnt it? At least the Alaska Gov says that she wouldnt allow a "bridge to nowhere" ....
??????LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it was a really bad move on McCain's part, he may have just given the election to Obama. There were so many good choices he could have made, so why an unknown with even less experience than Obama.
I was thinking the same thing. This was a really important pick because of McCain's age. I think McCain was more interested in being a mavrick than making the right choice.
Nauty, LMAO I can't even imagine the debates with her and Joeeeyyyy. He's gonna kick her ***, but then again Joey could kick most canidates ***'s.
Theeagle,
She won't be building a bridge to no where, but she is under investigation for trying to get her brother-in-law fired. We'll just have to wait and see. lol
Yeah, and then her relationship to Charelton Heston....lol. "Sara Barracuda" Thats enough to turn me off, and the fact that she kills moose......heartless Btch !
The only thing she has going for her right now is her "hottie" hubby. Could you Imagine a mother of 5 taking over the country when McCain drops dead?.......HOly Oiy !!! I'm sorry if I sound prejudice, but A mother of 5 screaming kids should NOt be in the White House. she should be home baking brownies and taking her kids to hockey practice...
I also think it was a bad choice. Floundering is a sign of fear, and Obabma should take that as a compliment.
And the Saga Continues....................can't wait for the debate !!
Nauty...........
I myself feel she was an excellant pick.
Of course, I'm for Obama.
I have to laugh though, the republicans are just trying so hard to back McCain's choice and to say she was a great choice. LOL What else can they do? Say "we want a do-over, and this time the old senile guy doesn't get to pick the VP?".
Oh this poor woman going up against joey. tisk, tisk.
Naughty, You were/are a Hillary follower. Are you telling me, that McCain didn't fool you into backing him by putting a woman in the VP spot? Like we stupid women would maybe think it was Hillary?
Bay Buchanan (Rep.Stratagist) on CNN just said something along the line of , Palin knows how to balance a buget and has real life experiance, she runs a household. OMG
I guess Im the minority here because of my profession and Faith.
I think it's a good thing.
Does your faith say that millions should die because they can't afford health care, or lose their social security. Does your faith tell you to vote Republican ?
What an irresponsible pick. He is 72 and has had cancer. If something happens to him, he has left 300 million people in her hands. Now he can't bring up how inexperienced Obama is in the debates. It was clearly a desperate move. Or, is it possible the Republicans don't even want to win? Dump the war and the economy in Obama's lap.
However the republicans spin this. THIS WAS A CRAZY PICK.
They also have her on video and in print in the newspaper from 2006, saying the bridge to nowhere was a great move.................oi she lied in her first speech.
I was not for Hillary because she is a woman. I was for Hills cause I think she has more balls then Osama and McClain put together. And, with Bill behind her.....it certainly couldn't hurt.
McCain made a very desperate choice. He knows he is probably going to lose, and the other three jokers, romney, ex-sec of defense, and good lord libbyman.....He probably found out about their last minute scandals.......He wanted to slap a few faces (hillary), before he gets beat by a black man 1/3 of his age. I think this whole thing is like a bad acid trip.....
I just can't wait to see Jooeeyyyy bloody the barracuda's nose to make his mommy proud....lmao !!! I am still gettin my kicks over his speech....hahhhaaaa. If McCain whips out some names of who he will be putting in charge of defense--he might get half of an eyebrow raise........I don't know what I am saying anymore.......lol. My tylenol pm is kicking in..........
And the SAGA Continues............until next time MY FELLOW AMERICAN'S.
GOOD NIGHT, AND ......GOD BLESS AMERICA.....DA DA DA DAAAAAA
He just handed it to Obama.
She's Tom Ridge with b@@bs.
I will never understand how people can think being a republican means they're on the side of God. This is an oxymoron and hypocritical. It is a fact that Republicans start more wars and support only big bussiness. How can someone be against abortion, yet all for unnessary wars that kill thousands of living people? Does God really look down on us and think "Yes, kill many with your wars, hoard your profits and your guns, built me expensive shrines and ignore the needy. Let those middle and lower classes die from lack of medical access. Suck the life out of the earth I gave you to live on, all for the almighty dollar. Do not care for your elders, make them struggle. I have given some of you money, protect it at all costs and never give a thought to the rest of your fellow humans in need". God is not a republican.
Mexican-American War: James K. Polk, Democrat
American Civil War: Abraham Lincoln, Republican
Korea (1876); Ulysses S. Grant, Republican
Spanish-American War and Philippine Insurrection: William McKinley, Republican
World War I: Woodrow Wilson, Democrat
Nicaragua: Calvin Coolidge, Republican
World War II: Franklin D. Roosevelt, Democrat
Korean war (1950-54): Harry S. Truman, Democrat
Vietnam War: Lyndon B. Johnson, Democratic
Grenada: Ronald Reagan, Republican
Persian Gulf War Operation Restoring Freedom: George HW Bush, Republican
Bosnia, Kosovo: Bill Clinton, Democrat
Afghanistan and Iraq: George W. Bush, Republican
Hmmm, looks like more Democrats than Republicans to me!!!!
ok so at first look you will say hey there are more Republicans than Democrats, but if you really look at wars vs skirmishes you will see that the Dems lead. However the point should be how many of these have lead to the betterment of the country or the world. Just to say one party is more ready to go to war not looking at why things happened.
She has the same experience as obama...but you have heard of obama so much that you think he has more.
Its a good pick...if Mcain dies i mean c'mon the vice pres wont take over....She will just be the figure head.
But i dont know %$#@
Im a registerd Democrat. If someone in the United States needs health care it's available, you just have to go through some red tape. Millions of babies are killed everyday and that's ok but lets not hurt a turtle or cut down a tree. Palin is agaisnt abortion. If Obama gets into office our taxes will go up and the services will do down. If you think he is going to give all Americans health care I have some property I want to show you at low tide ;) I'm tired of the last 8 years and we need a change but Obama isn't it. He has a good chance of being killed just because of his color which is sad. I lost my cousin I graduated high school with in building number 2 on September 11 and a lot of others I knew. It took 6 months for my bil port athourity police to go through all the memorials. God clearly tell us there is a time for war. Do I think we should still be there no. Is there any easy solutions no! You can not change a nation who thinks it's a honor to die and kill people PERIOD! If we didn't go there you could believe they would have attacked us again. I have no problems with black people it's always been the white people who hurt me, besides the few times I was mugged in Manhattan (being in the wrong place doing the wrong thing) but hey your entitled to your opinion as am I. I welcome yours so please don't put down mine. I guess it's true, don't talk politics or religion lol
Peace!
Sorry, it's just that it always seems that people of faith think they must vote republican. This is a sore spot for me, as more times than not the republican's are just out for them selves and not "love thy niehbor" (sorry spelling). I just can't understand why people vote by faith and not issues. I guess this is why it is so important to have separation of church and state.
It's all good I have thick skin now that I live in the deep south lol
Your known by your fruit.
I base my vote by qualifications and yes my faith.
I think it's just a matter of picking the lesser of the 2 evils this year.
Mods please don't link block this.

The hurricane expert who is watching the hurricane says it's time to GET OUT OF NEW ORLEANS NOW!!!!!!!!
""it's not natural" to live in a city that lies partially below sea level. I apologize for my remarks, they could have been phrased better. We had to build New Orleans where it is, and it is a great city that needs to be protected. The fact remains that New Orleans is highly vulnerable to storms like Gustav. Gustav is capable of bringing a storm surge to the city that will overwhelm the levees. Pre-Katrina wisdom suggested that the city needed 72 hours to evacuate. With the population about half of the pre-Katrina population, that lead time is about 60 hours. With Gustav likely to bring tropical storm force winds to the city by Monday afternoon, that means it's time to leave. I'm not an emergency manager, but I am a hurricane scientist. I understand the danger this storm poses better than most. The risk of staying in New Orleans is unacceptable. This is a huge and dangerous storm that has already killed a lot of people. The projected track and strength of Gustav is very close to that of Hurricane Betsy of 1965, the Category 3 hurricane that overwhelmed New Orleans' levees, and killed 76 people. It's time to get out of New Orleans." ~ JeffMasters
BTW Gustav is a category 3 now.
oops I thought I was posting in the hurricane topic.... I'll slink away and find the apprropriate place to post....
