PS
yes sara Im Feeling MUCH better today!! I finally got a good solid sleep last night (at least up until 3 a.m, which Ive been up since, but hey I went to bed at like 9, so I slept from 9 til 3 very nicely and i feel chipper today!!)
well you guys danced circles around me, rofl! I couldnt think of a damnn thing, haha! Is this why my kids are hypersensitive and have sensory issues, I didnt have snails swimming in shaving cream when they were little(er)??? LOL
Great ideas ladies! Now I just need to go back in time and re-do my kid's early childhood!! Nah, I'll just have another baby (psyche!!). We have Lisa's baby comin soon, our own little First Forum Baby =)
water and finger paints are great. chalk and markers, play dough works well. if you want to use crafts and textures, creating art is a great choice. you can go to Micheals or a similar craft store and get a lot of ideas and the cost is minimal. if you are engaging one on one with the child there is nothing that beats going to the local Goodwill store, picking out a lot of crazy clothes and using your imagination once you get home, or whereever, to become any person you want to be.... it is a good activity for kids and allows them to really use their minds and for the two of you to share a fun activity as you create a play or perform SnowWhite one more time. A sleeping bag and riding it down the stairs is a hoot at that age, its like sledding without the cold!! I live in an area where it is colder than heck right now, I did not sit my children in front of a TV or a video game or a computer...... the best activities truly were make believe, and you can adapt that to any age. Good luck hope you have a great day!!
I think your poor snails would freeze sara.. I saw all that snow.. this girl would not be a happy camper. snow and I do not get on well lol i would be out with my hairdryer or a blow torch hehe
