Idea's for child activities?

Ok guys....help needed. lol
I'm planning an activity for one of my many jobs..lol...for a child aged 2. Anyways, this activity has to involve different textures and possibly involving little cars too, but not necessary, i have tried to think of different ideas, but right now, my brain wont work.
So, have you guys got any ideas? Please help. lol

water and finger paints are great.  chalk and markers,  play dough works well.  if you want to use crafts and textures, creating  art is a great choice.  you can go to Micheals or a similar craft store and get a lot of ideas and the cost is minimal.   if you are engaging one on one with the child  there is nothing that beats going to the local Goodwill store, picking out a lot of crazy clothes and using your imagination once you get home, or whereever,  to become any person you want to be....    it is a good activity for kids and allows them to really use their minds  and for the two of you to share a fun activity as you create a play  or perform SnowWhite one more time.       A sleeping bag and riding it down the stairs is a hoot at that age,  its like sledding without the cold!!    I live in an area where it is colder than heck right now,  I did not sit my children in front of a TV or a video game  or a computer......  the best activities truly were make believe,  and you can adapt that to any age.  Good luck  hope you have  a great day!!
