Thanks Vicki. That makes sense. I once got pleurisy within days of being revived from a heroin OD in my teens, so your explaination answers some questions I had.
Yeah, old Drew Pinsky is certainly not on my Christmas card list and I wouldn't be referring anyone I cared for to any of his ersatz treatment centres.
Yes...I saw him on there too. Poor guy just couldn't kick it. I am so saddened by this news, but it just reinforces the fact that I am doing the right thing by stopping this madness!
I hope Jeff is at peace now....he struggled so much and was so very sad to watch.

So,Jeremy, you love Dr.Drew huh?? LOL!! I believe it was an overdose but with the amounts he took it was an accident. I think he vomitted in his stupor and then aspirated causing aspiration pneumonia, then sepsis. It's just damn sad. Dr. Drew referred to him as a "terrible addict". That made me laugh. Is there any addiction or addict that's not terrible?? The whole effing thing is terrible!!! This poor guy must have been very, very sick for many days to have this end his life. It's a shame!!
I thought Jeff Comaway died from pneumonia and sepsis rather than a drug overdose, at least that is what media wh**e Drew Pinsky is saying...
"There is no evidence showing Jeff died from an overdose. This was aspiration with overwhelming pneumonia and sepsis"
Although his twit (sorry, that should read twitter) comment does seem confused, later stating that Jeff is yet another victim of the American pharmaceutical epidemic, he specifically says that it was not an overdose. Apparently Drew missed the confidentiality "HIPPA" lecture when he was at medical school or he has puprosely disregarded discretion in favour of shameless self promotion.
R.I.P Jeff.
Kind regards Jeremy. Recovered Addict.
3 years 7 months drug and Alcohol free.
Definitely - I agree NoOC - it's almost surreal now when you look at those old episodes - you hear Jen (the sober house manager) talking about how she thought Mike Starr's addiction was going to kill him. People are dying right before our eyes and yet opiate pill abuse is still the no. 1 addiction problem in this nation - and it's not just celebrities who are dying (and let's not forget about heath leder, michael jackson just to name a couple more) - just regular folks are dying from it too.
Wow this is really sad. I remember watching both of them on Celeb rehab. Specifically one episode about Mike Starr when the families came and Mikes mother and sister came and also lane staley's mother came and spoke about the heartbreak of her sons death (mikes best friend and fellow bandmate) and said how real addiction is and how possible death is when youre an addict, and now the very person she came to visit is dead. Wow I had no idea he had died. It just shows how real addiction is and that show celeb rehab. Even though it was a reality show it rly was no joke.
WOW! Just have to say CONGRATS on 126 days - that is FANTASTIC! Okay, back to our regularly scheduled programming here - but I couldn't help it! :)
Sad is not even close to the right word!!!!!!!!! I am 126 day clean to day!!!! so i guess i kinda know what he was going thru (my battle only lasted 3 years w/ happy ending) it is really tough and impossible with out the right people in your life..... RIP JEFF
