NA meeting

ok, so i've been clean since aug. 16th and i've been going to meetings everynight and feeling better than i ever thought possible without using but the other night i was coming out of a meeting and overheard someone talking about how they can get suboxone and i just stopped dead in my tracks and my eyes popped out of my head and my first insticnt was to turn around and go make a new connection but then my brain started working again and i just kept on walking...that was my first unexpected situation dealing with drugs since i got out of rehab and it totally caught me offgaurd since it happened when i was coming out of a meeting.  there have been a few situations that i knew i was gonna be around people using but i was prepared for that and it was easy for me to walk away but when it happened unexpectedly i almost messed up.

WOW!!!! You should be proud of yourself, you did exactly what you should have, you kept walking. That must have been a HARD situation and you handled it beautifully! You will always have to keep you guard up, but now you know that you have the tools you need to deal with what ever does come up and make the right decision. YOU ROCK!!!! Keep on rockin and great job.
