Oven BROKE now?? Thats the kinda week its been here:

ya know its been one of those weeks...my oven BROKE 3 days before Thanksgiving??? come on!! Seriously! Thats the kind of week its been for me. Broken oven, toothache for countless days (which is better now thx to ABX), 2 sick kids that have been up 3-4x each night needing medicine for fever and cough so Ive had virtually no sleep in the lsat 7 days (tooth too), the handle fell OFF the toilet the other night too. Not a good thing. oh and my ex'es brother was calling in the middle of the night making threats. I did post about that but it got pulled like 2 seconds later so i dont think anyone saw that.
The good news is the oven is now HALF WAY WORKING- figured out you have to BANG THE DOOR REPEATEDLY to make it finally go (???), toilet handle is now attached again, tooth is better but being pulled friday, my turkey is thawing nicely, the kids are still sick but not bad like last time. so i guess things are looking up? lol

I like a grilled Turkey better.. Just an idea.. How are those kids???? I hope they are well or getting there....

Wish me & my handy husband was closer to you (in OHIO) cus I'd send him over RIGHT NOW.. to fix everything...

Hang in there and in spite of everything going on in your neck of the woods.. PLEASE have a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING.. with or WITHOUT the turkey!

thx wizz, it seems weird to me that someone perceives me as smiling, lol. Ive been in such a pit of depression for so long that i guess I didnt realize Ive been slowly dragging myself back up out of it and coping?! How did that happen? It must be my kids- forcing me to "do life" i guess lol

Your smile is showing.  Good attitude.  Life is like that but you're smiling at the catastrophes...what else can you do?  This is the first year we've said we are staying home alone.  Having chicken, no turkey.  Frozen leftover stuffing will get a dressing up for the holiday.  One pie from each of us, his famous pumpkin and my famous apple, not six, not eight, not ten as we've done for so many years.  Not already crazy with anxiety, not running around worried about dust, more appetizers, will the turkey finish before midnight.  No worries!  Amazing gift we gave ourselves this year.  Happy Thanksgiving to all of you compassionate folks!

thx Wizz! its all par for the course around here. It wouldnt be "my life" if things like this werent going on lol. its ALWAYS something. Oh well i guess theres never a dull moment around here for sure! (i just sometimes wish it were more positive things that kept things so exciting, lolol, oh well you take what ya get). I hope you and your family also have  a wonderful thanksgiivng this year! Are you cooking a turkey or going somewhere to eat?
