Hey Sabrina....SO SORRY this had to happen to you.....just read the whole deal and am SO glad you listened to Vicki AND your "inner voice" and went to the police station w/Dan.
It's amazing that integrity, honesty and respect simply just "don't exist" for a lot of folks these days. My heart hurts for you.....that you had to even
experience all of this......You're clean and sober.....you have a wunnerful
hubby.......and you are woman of integrity, honesty and have a true desire to "just do the next right thing".

Treated that way.We also told the police George is well known2come n drunk(never said a word although OBVIOUS!)But is uncle(younger tuan him,nice guy),not sure of Tobys diagnosis but he has some form of learning diablility/what ia the diagnosis but he said about George(w/Bruce standing3ft away that Georger was dinkomg since9a.m@2hes scheduled.Bruce called me back asked if he heard thay right"I heara what u did Bruce corners Toby asks if George is drunk Toby didnt wnt2get George n troublhe said"u know he gets drunk everyday.MANAGER DIDNT DO a thing.WAIT he did,Bruce jas him work16hrs straight.waitin2here feom.the officee
OH we wnt n2the tiny police station.I explained the situation2the dispatcher@the front.She has us sit@an officers desk.He said I did the EXACT right thing by coming there1st so I have a report(Dans2telling what he knew,saw,told Bruce about it,saw/heard Ricky telling Bruce/Matt walking back hearing it etc).The officer got really mad about how i was treated etc.He said he wished I'd come n sooner BUT glad I came n b4meeting w/Matt(officer said NOT2meet w/him@the planned time,wait4 the officer2contact me).He did say George CLEARLY broke the law(cnt remember all but some were sexual harassment,sexual assult,battery+others)&said him backing me n the cooler/me not being able 2get out COULD possibly false imprisionment I was SHOCKED about that"possible charge"cause thats huge.Also said the managers(Bruce&Matt) could b charged w/stuff2 NOT JUST LOSE THERE JOBS if they were informed/notified&did Nothing.Bruce is 100%guilty of that.Dnt know about Matt(Bruces' boss),I KNOW he lnew something(I assume some verbal harassment2 an extent)not sure what though.Dan was/is great.Ironic we both wrote statements/complaints n different rooms but so much was identical.Officer said I(we)did the right thing, no1deserves2be treate
I decided2make the police report BEFORE I meet w/the district manager(Matt)for a few reasons,main1being I feel like IF I waited,didnt have a report filed w/the police&went2a meeting w/Matt,I would be@a disadvantage+I want2have the upper hand.I truelly hope he takes what I say as seriously BUT I think it will b FAKE.Im sure he will say he is shocked,will do"something" & apologize etc BUT its been 5days since I quit,he comes2that location2-3times a wk,n the morning/early afternoon shift when the g.m.(Bruce)IS there.I know who works those shifts as well.I feel at this point Matt has got2know what he was told as the reason I quit. I assume this because I didnt c Matt much since I worked mostly nites BUT I saw him often enough he knows me,thanked me4my hardwork&offered me the assistant man. position,we've joked around,I KNOW he knew about at least some of the things going on w/me being inappropriately spoken too&LIED about because a cook named Ricky who would tell all them about the stuff the creeper named George did/said was telling Bruce about the George telling him(Ricky)not2touch,flirt, talk2me cause we were dating&Matt(district manager) walked back,asked who Ricky who,was telling Bruce,myself &some1 else the story&Ricky told Matt EXACTLY who/what was going on w/George lying,making me uncomfortabe I got visibly aggitated,said"u have got2b joking,he needs2call husband&tell HIM this BS"+angerly walked from the back2the front.As I think of that I realize CLEARLY the Bruce didnt just"drop the ball" I feel like it was amusement2 him,he didnt care/help when notified&actually put me ON ALL shifts w/the George on purpose cause they r friends,previous wk George complained we didnt wk2gether much&he was gonna do something(I said Im very happy w/this schedule)then all shifts w/him.I realize WITHOUT A DOUBT Matt(district man.)was aware of@least some of this&did nothing.Once I quit it was made clear by Ricky&Dan(both cooks present4-99%of this)said I quit because of George as I told them BOTH I was gonna end up quitting over it b4I did&those girls LOVE2gossip. Also Bruce went2my husbands location&asked him+Rob told him EXACTLY why I quit(Bruce played dumb of course).So I feel the police report going n is ABSOLUTELY necessary2bring2my meeting2morrow so he knows this is serious.I think the ONLY reason the manager sought out my car(my hubby was driving it though)is he KNEW why I quit ,claimed he was so concerned etc but I think he was trying2c if I was going2 sue,make official complaint&ONLY covering his A$$.I think Matt should have contacted me after this on his own.NO1of authority took ANY action.Dan has helped the most,tried2protect me,put n his notice,made a statement2day @police station+willing2do whatever2help me because he knows its wrong,this isnt a job he Has2keep.
Thank u so much.U r absolutely right.I have a meeting set up w/the district manager2speak w/him privately.Should I go now and make a report or wait til I speak to him?I really dont want anyone else to be put n that position.Im lucky enough that I was able2quit w/o another job lined up yet because my husband works but what if that wasnt the case.Its been driving me nuts because what if some1else is treated this way but needs that job ir there kids dont eat.Im taking action today.The guy Ive kept n contact w/who is MORE than happy2do a statement because he was present for so much of this,he put n his2wks notice(this is a2nd p/t job for him&he is disgusted by all of it)text ke this morning2give me the diatrict managers#&asked id I wnt2meet him around lunch time if I decide2make a police report(he is a good guy).Thank u for letting me know Im not overreacting.

The moment he touched you, he broke the law. It's called battery. Any unwelcomed contact from another individual is battery.
It's YOUR responsibility to report this to the police because it,happened to YOU. The GM can also file a report but it should be you. There needs to be a record. What this guy did was unlawful and he violated MANY workplace laws. For one thing, he created a hostile work environment...
He violated your civil liberties in a BIG way and you had to give up your job because of the harassment! That's wrong. File a complaint and contact the civil liberties union/office in your area. They'll represent you for free if you want to make a case out of it...and you should. That whole crew needs to go and you should have your job back.
Then there's always "country justice"... I'm not sure if you're familiar with that...lol
OH I actually thought something WAS said2him because when I went n2the last shift before I quit&4the1st time he didnt immediately start being aggresive.He did ask me while he was prepping&we were n the back of the resturant alone why I dont give him a hug,then asked why I dnt text him(all our#'s r posted4the staff2c n the back.He text me previously and b4he acted creepy I responded we chatted that1time.After that he got weird.My final straw was me getting glared@while getting ice,him asking why I dnt unbutton the last1on the top of my shirt so he could c my breasts(didnt say it that polite)&said Id make more money.I didnt repond.He was slicong those big onions.Grabbed2looked@my chest then said yup juat about right.I said thats not cool stop&he responded by making an obsene gesture w/the onions(like he was motor boating&said he wished he could do that2me).That was my final straw/breaking point.As I said there r cameras back the too ao its taped
I am confused though about what u said about making a police report.I dnt understand why I would have2make a police report if I not only notified the manager,others did as well and he knew all about this.Isnt it the managers responsablity to take care of issue.Why would any1have2make a police report(I wasnt raped or anything like that)I was harrassed obviously.I regret not immediately going over the g.m. to the district manager&making a written complaint before quitting though.I didnt demand2make a report2my immediate superior(the g.m. who thought it was a joke)because these people all have been working2gether a long time&I WAS trying2ignore it&continue working there+hoped he would get the message that something needed2 said to the creep when I asked4a schedule opposite the creep because I was so uncomfortable&didnt want everyone that is his buddy(including the manager)to hate me.I know logically that doesnt matter n retrospect but that was my idiotic logic.
Thank u Vicki.I DONT want to sue them.I just think reporting them to the superiors is what I will do.This place has tons of cameras too+they can look@them2c this guy grabbing me etc. I think I will call and report this tomorrow.Especially since this guy has previous complaints for harrassment.
You need to file a complaint with the police and really should have done that when the problem began. If you try to sue, the first thing their Atty will ask you is if you called the police to report this...
