Sign of Returning Clarity?

As some of you may know, I work in politics and as such, am a political junkie. My mother (who lives with my husband and I) as well as my husband, often come to me about political issues nationally and globally.  

My mom come to and asked, "Why is Isreal bombing the Gaza?"

I explained to her, quite clearly, the following:

The Gaza strip is considered Palestinian territory and is ruled by Hamas.  Hamas has an ideology that all Israelis should be destroyed.  Egypt brokered a peace treaty between Hamas and Israel, but it expired a week ago.  Israeli intelligence has shown that they have been organizing attacks against Israel, so thus the bombing to prevent attacks.  

I kinda looked at her like WOAH!  Where did THAT come from???

Is clarity and reasoning coming back to me so soon?  At just day 10?
