Gaining Weight after quitting Oxy, any others?

All,
Interesting things going on post CT from Oxy.
I have adhered to the same workout and eating habits as I was in before I went CT two months ago.
IE: still in the gym on the treadmill 20-30 minutes 6 days, still lifting weights as my shoulders allow, still eating the same diet as before, playing in two golf leagues, basically nothing has changed except for the fact that I am slowly gaining weight.
I have been into fitness my whole life and can't explain this one.
Has anyone had the same experience, I mean could my internal metabolisim be slowing by not taking the Opiate anymore? What the heck I am well educated in fitness and nutrition but have crept steadily up from 209 to 219 over the past couple of months.
The energy is comomg back some but I just can't explain it.

those surgeries can be tough test on ones soul. you seem to be like me, determined no matter what to quit, and thats what it takes. I was in real good shape before, and I am still better than most even after two months of no major work outs, just hikes, but it did suck to get a little flabby. but I can see that its not getting worse now and seems to be getting better. once I get back on a serious work out schedule,I will have a totally flat stomach again. one of  my personal goals.

yeah the 5 years I was on them made me pay a higher price, in regards to WD's. just took longer and teh fatigue one is known to be the hardest one to get back, might take me 6 months or so.........

Ok that's reassuring, about three months it will all settle down.
I lost a few right after CT so the ramoping up has been unexpected as I have always been around 205-210 for years now.
And Whitie the fatigue factor is still strong two months in, I quit counting days actually since I'm done with it.
I see the Ortho Monday to set a date in stone to get the Left Rotator Cuff surgery out of the way, probably Sept, Oct.
Next year get the right fixed but again requested no opiate based pain meds.

I lost weight when I was on oxy. I lost a little more when going CT. Once my withdrawal was reaching the end I began to gain weight. I gained back what I lost plus a few extra pounds. About three months after I withdrew, my weight began to level out and then I slowly lost weight, through no effort of my own, until I was back to my usual weight. I think it depends on your metabolism and whether your body remembers what you used to weigh and then slowly takes it back. I am taking hormones now for prostate cancer. I began again to gain weight. Once the hormones put the cancer to sleep, so to speak, my weight again leveled out except for the fact that my stomach became extended and I developed slight man boobs. I now weigh two pounds more than my normal weigh. So, as you can see in my case, it just may take a little time. Be patient, good things may come.

yup, I dont have a flat stomach like I use to, even my boy has been poking me! and I am not even eating nearly as much as I use to, although the pills kept me active, where as I could hike all day long.

but, its tough fighting the fatigue factor I have going on for two months, but I am getting better
