Upside down Christmas tree

My son and I went out in the back yard yesterday and cut our Christmas tree. We didn't need to find one that was big and we didn't need to worry about it being too full because we believe we've discovered the ideal way to put up a tree. When my daughter was a toddler she and the cats kept getting into the tree so I hung it upside down from the ceiling. This became our family tradition because it turned out to work oh so well. An upside down tree lasts longer before needles fall off because the water remaining in the branches is assisted by gravity to move to the tips. Our ornaments hang out away from the tree and so they are displayed so much better.  Santa has so much more floor space under the tree in which to place presents. And it turns out that even a Charlie Brown tree looks really good when it is upside down so I can cull a weak, overcrowded tree from the yard and it still looks great. Merry Christmas everyone!

Yeah I though of that. It would have made a much better post, but I have no idea how to do that. Maybe one of my kids will do it for me when they come home from school. Although I should wait until we put the ornaments on. That won't happen until my daughter comes home from the dorm. We wouldn't think of putting any ornaments up until everyone is here. So I'll post a picture this weekend. I really do think it looks way better than the average tree this way.
