I guess I should add... HOOOOORRRAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!
I think the scenario for this would be if during WW11 hitler's army would have made it across the Antlantic and invaded our USA. Yes Eagle I think in comparison to where we could be living in this world not one negative thing to say about our great country. I usually find that the people to complain about the state of our nation are those who have never stepped foot off US soil and are terribly spoiled to the luxuries we live with here. It is sad and I dont like to hear complaints like that when I am blessed to have a roof over my head a computer leather chair and cold ac blowin on me and the most important blessing my children have eaten tonightand have many resources for their education and to get in in the luxury of all the amenties that we are blessed to have in our buildings here and I feel secure for the most part that we will all wake up in the morning safe and sound not having to worry about my house being blow off the map tonight...... I say three cheers for the US of A
i'm a big supporter of the constitution and the tenants of the declaration of independence. You want some interesting reading, get a copy of the Declaration of Independence in it's ORIBINAL form as Jefferson wrote it as opposed to the version they ratified. The differences are very startling. Personally, they should have stuck with the original, if you ask me. :)
The only thing I conceivably see fighting for in terms of my country is anything that threatens the state of the nation in regard to these two documents.
Unfortunately, it seems we've already given up many of the freedoms mentioned in the constitution...so the question is; do we take up the fight to get our freedoms back...or not?
I agree - e pluribus.....live free or die!
Ok, my answer is no. Although I Love my country, I think I would clearly sacrifice many of my freedoms to make this a better country. I think to much freedom has left the people in this country divided. Rich, poor, greed, no morality. Freedom does come with a price and we live with the positive and the negative prices everyday. Don't get me wrong, but too much of anything will destroy you.....even freedom.
Nauty.............
Well, the idea of the question is to determine just how your principles will go. so although the physical situation is potentially lose-lose. It's more of a question of would you be willing to have a moral victory in the face of defeat of the enemy.
In other words, "would you risk defeat even though you had the option of victory through immoral means?"
Then again, another way of looking at it is "are you so strong on your stand for the concept of freedom that you'd be willing to sacrifice anything else to preserve it?"
Ugh, this is why I never do moral dilemna's on an empty stomach. I'm going to nom some cheez-it's for moral fortitude.
New Hampshire's motto should be our country's motto...I'm proud to drive around with my license plate saying Live Free or Die...it's an honor. =)
I read it like what if we were invaded, sort of like what happened in Independence Day...only not with aliens from another world...but same basic principle...they were set out to annihilate us....I could have read it wrong though Nauty...what on earth do I know anyway...lol
I've read the question 3 times and I still don't get it.....It sounds like a really unrealistic, and frankly, bizarre question, unless I am missing something. Maybe just to intellectual for me. If we all become vigilantes thats no longer what this country is or stands for......sounds like a lose-lose situation--dunno??
Nauty..............
I would kick a$$ and not even care about the names...HOWEVER...I believe that there are many solutions to any given problem in most, not all situations...I believe force is the only answer here, but do not feel that I would opt for the use of biological or weapons that would ultimately destroy our world....for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that I think a war could be won with some decent critical thinking skills when it comes to planning the battles and tactics..I would have no mercy on folks like this and feel very strongly that to do nothing is SO not an option. I would easily lay my own life on the line here, to protect my family....
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few... I would be armed with a sniper on my roof.
I would be all for bombing them if they were on our soil if it would mean protecting my family and future generations for slavery and what not.
I would do whatever it took! And Yes everyone in my family would also be armed to the max!
Hmmm. I admit I'm a bit surprised. But then again, maybe not. My first reaction is to draw the line at biological agents and similar weapons. But the immediate need would be VERY compelling.
Perhaps all of us having gone through the harsher side of life through addiction are more pessimistic in our views in the world and have a more black than white perspective.
I would hope, myself, if the time ever came that I could remember that in terms of the grand scheme that time changes all things... a dictator rises, if we lose, some time in the distant future the righteous will rise again and overthrow them, even if not in my life time.
I'm not sure if I could go through with it, myself. Unrestrained destruction is a terrible thing and so very indiscriminate, often turning back to bite the user.
I also worry about becoming that which we most revile and fear. Destructive acts have a way of tainting the soul, after all. If anyone knows this we do. If we unleash unrestrained destruction and death...how do we live with that afterwards?
And what can you possibly say negatively about a country where you can get a pink AR?
It warms my heart to see so many fellow warmongers on this site!
Ewwwww good one Savas ! There is no doubt I would fight for my freedom. I just can't wrap my mind around the chemical, bioligical stuff. Wouldn't we be destroying our country in order to save it. Hmmmmm I'm stumped.
My daddy taught us survival so i would get my family into protection and come out fighting with a bazooka and i would take no prisoners...........I like bazookas!!!!
I to believe in do what it takes to live free. We have GI ration cases and water frozen for a start.Have a med box that covers a lot of injuries. Also armed as NRA members and as back up each has a bow and arrows and are proficient.. Even a meeting place in the mountains if anything were to happen.. I pray daily a outcome like this never happens but it never hurt to be prepared... Live Free or Die trying Protect what you Love
