***Whack a Mole get Cancer???**

Okay, guys I think when you get old you start getting moles popping up all over the place.  This is my case.  Today I was in the shower shaving my legs, thinking about Vic's post and getting a giggle when I picked up my shower puffy and when it hit my underarm........it ripped off this cute little mole!!!!  It looks like there is a stem left..lol...weird looking? and it hurts like Hellz!!!!!  Now, I have heard this all my life and I do question it, but if you whack a mole off your body, is it true that it can cause cancer?????   its bugging me.  I don't know what to believe, but I have never whacked a mole off like that, so I am faced with this possible myth.

What do you think.......is it fact or myth?

I had  a few skin tags removed a couple years ago...nothing to it..they (the doctor in this case) puts some numbing stuff on 'em, grabs a pair of scizzors off somebody's desk (if not available a box knife from the receiving department, and lops 'em off..they're done
before you know it.

They say! Im not sure who they is, but THEY say, skin tags are a sign of someone with high cholesterol. So, might be worth checkin into? Get checked.....

I just noticed that this thing grew back already.  Looks like it never felt better....and it BIGGER...oiy?.......wth?.......so its not a mole, but a skin tag...um, there is no way in hellz that i am going to cut this thing off!!  Although it grew back.....in a couple days, mind you?, and its bigger and stronger than it was before......it hurts like mother frankster when it was lopped off.........for some reason I am getting these on my under arms.....I guess they wouldn't survive anywhere else.  Thank god they grow your HeeeeeYaaaaaaa!!  HeeeeeYaaaaa!

LOL!  I just read your response!  I dunno nauty!  Moles usually look a little different than skin tags! Skin tags are just excess skin, not usully round like a mole!  Cut it off with a razor , or U use nail clippers, and use a styptic pencil for the bleed. Never ever cut off a mole! the roots are under the skin unlike a skin tag!  lol  I cannot afford the doc every time so since I saw what he does, I just do it myself. Nasty little buggers they are!

I am covered in moles and skin tags. Ahhhhhhh got this from my mother. If I had a doctor check them all I would be there a month. lol     I've whacked a few skin tags off and no cancer yet. They bleed like a son-of a gun though.

lol....Jimster.......I guess nobody knows.  I do have to see the doctor next week.  I will ask her.....since the little stumpy thing is still there, I'll just dot it with an eyebrow pencil........oh, maybe not, cause I might get into a mean game on connect the dots....

Okay, but nobody has answered my question.  If you scratch or pick off a mole and say it bleeds......they ...whoever they are say the mole would come back cancerous??

Another question.  can I pull these things off...eww....it hurt like hellz.... "it burns, it burns"  feels ok now, but there is like this little stump there...lol.

Oh, man..........oh, and are these considered moles or not???? now I'm totally confused.....OIY!!!!

My ole man gets them skin tags! Went to the doc and he whacked emoff at the base! I thought well hell, we can do that! Now everytime we see a skin tag we whack it off! Moles however are best left to the doc to remove cause of the root. Should do this once a year especially if you are fair skinned. Nauty you is crazy and I luz it! lol

Omg!  You guys this is not a mole that is anything.  I have these cute little moles under my arm and have had them for a long time. ...they aren't the dark cancer-like moles they are the raised light ones....

WHAT I AM ASKING IS.......IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY PICK A MOLE OR IN MY CASE WHACK IT AND IT COMES OFF....I ALWAYS HEARD IT WILL COME BACK CANCEROUS......JUST WONDERING IF THAT IS A MYTH OR ANY TRUTH TO IT.  I KINDA THINK NOT, BUT HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD THIS?  I'VE BEEN TOLD THIS SINCE I WAS A CHILD.....AND MY MOM SAYS YES, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF I BELIEVE IT.......

And...the older I get the more Moles I seem to get....whats up with THAT...(CAPS ON)

I would recommend a trip to see your doctor... as I think that they are the only ones that can tell us what we DON'T want to hear...

And also, I would recommend that you quit scrubbing yourself.... easy girl...

Ugh... I'm Black Irish and as pale as pale can be. I was informed last year I have to get checked every six months (full body check) for moles and spots as I'm incredibly high risk for skin cancer.

Just have a doc look at it and they can tell you if it's one of those "dangerous, your mother warned you about dating that type" moles or one of "those safe, sitting by the fire sipping tea on a cool night moles".

I don't know....I have several of them in various parts of my body not visible to the general public.  I've had them removed and checked out and they were OK...I highly recommend seeing a doctor quickly...I had a long time coworker who woke up to a mole one day...saw the doctor the next..a few days later was told it was cancer and was dead a year to the day later...not that this can happen to you....but I like you enough that I don;t want to see it happen to you (or anybody for that matter)..

so please..just to be safe...see a doctor.  I have to see mine about one ASAP.
