going to a grocery store with a self checkout gizmo and mommy has little suzie and johnny shopping and they're
arguing over who's turn it is to scan something...meanwhile those of us to chose to patronize the machine are held up
while mommy thinks it so cute..when they're done, she the starts fumbling through her purse for money to pay for the stuff


grocery store associates who gab with each other while doing your order, yapping about who's going to whos party
with whom,

those little tags they give you "to save you money" at the pharmacy and grocery store...at the pharmacy I'll walk up to the counter with 3 of those 12 packs of soad, a gallon of mile cat litter...and the first question out of their mouth?  Do you have a CVS card...how in the wild wild world of sports do they expect me to get the blasted card with all this stuff in my arms (and my wife saying 'don't forget to get the receipt'....ooops...a 12 pack of soda just dropped on her foot)

How about people that still write checks? How they wait until the transaction is finished...write the amount in their register..and then start writing the check..ARGH...

Or the ladies doing shopping for 3 people and has to have 10 items divided up 3 ways..all paid for with checks...

Get a debit card already!!

Oh, that bugs me....or the folks that don't know how to use their ATM card in the reader and the associate who usually just stares at them blankly without offering to help...one time I came up to the register with a bag of brussels sprouts (OK..I love 'em) and she asked me "Is this okra"....Oh, did I wish it was...but we don't find much fresh okra up here..dang it.

ahh yes, grocery store pet peeves..i have a few to add to the list already above, lol. I go to the store like 5x a week and its a miracle i havent walked in with a gun yet LOL. for starters how about the jackassses that double park their cars, or worse yet the ones who pull up SIDEWAYS across a parking space and take up 2 or 3 of them?? Whenever i see someone parked like that, Im always sure to park my car right in front of theirs so they get blocked in (usually someone else has the same good idea and hems them in from the rear as well) and they have to wait until I come back out so they can leave, haha!  ONce inside the store, I hate the people who are yakking their faces off on their cell phones, totally blocking an aisle with their cart and are completely oblivious to that fact since they are blabbing away on the phone (and talking about stupid things that no one else in the store cares to hear but has to listen to it anyways). I could go on and on but I"ll stop for now before i get myself worked up into a frenzy LOL

I was thinking the same thing about people blocking the isle! I've noticed it always happens when I'm in a hurry. I'll go down a isle and there are 2 people with 2 separate carts talking and blocking the way. I kindly say "excuse me" and they just sort of look at me. As I stand there a minute longer waiting they finally start moving....a little. They continue talking as they creep their carts along slower than a turtle just so they can get a few more words in which seems to take 20 minutes. Now wouldn't it make more sense to just have one pull off to the side so they could talk all they want! I guess because they think they have all the time in the world, so does everyone else. That **** drives me crazy! I sometimes wish they had they had yellow lines like they do on the interstate and have someone on patrol to issue tickets to those that should have one of those "here's your sign" posted on their back!

lmao i love the idea of painting yellow lines in the grocery aisles !!! hahaha and I would love the job of Grocery Gestapo LOL Id be slappin tickets on every idiot in my way =)

oh another peeve of mine also involves the parking lot (as you can see by my list, i have  *NUMEROUS problems before i even get IN to the freakin store lol)...how about when you are leaving and come out to the lot to find that some jerk has parked their car SO CLOSE to yours that you cant even open your door to get in your own car??? OHHHH that stuff just boils my blood!!!!!  I remember years ago someone was circulating around little flyers that you could leave on cars that did this...had mickey mouse on it, flipping you off and said something like "thanks jackasss for parking so close, next time could you leave me a can opener so i can get back in my car" LOL

people who leave their carts in parking spaces, or worse yet...in handicap spaces.  When ever I see them I stop my car, block traffic, and move the cart out of the handicap space.

The way they stack those 12 packs of soda...why can't the stack the blasted things so you can punch out the little handle and carry it with you without having to turn the box over trying to find the punch out thingy to grab the box?

Orange juice....remember you could go to the store and the shelf had plain old orange juice on it.  Now it's got pulp, some pulp, extra pulp, no pulp, calcium, no calcium, extra calcium...arrrrrgh

LOL yep Jim, the OJ is ridiculous! So are the shampoos and conditioners. Ive ranted about this before on here actually, lol. .

oh i got another one...why is it that most stores have at least 4 or 5 aisles that have a big ole POLE in the middle of them and they always chose that exact spot to also put up a display stand of 8 million cans of soup right next to it so that you can justttt barely eeek your cart past it??! ANyone else have this happen, or is it just the stores I go to?? lol

no, I've run into that one..and there's always somebody trying to get by at the same time..so you really have to eeek.

Orange juice, shampoos..everything deodorants...tylenol, advil...a bazillion different varieties and you have to stare at the shelves like an idiot trying to find just plain tylenol..

And you're in a real hurry and there's nobody going to the frozen peas section until you get there and somebody beats you to it and has to examine every stinking bag of frozen peas..

cigarettes.."Oh, I'd like 2 packs of Marlboro lights" as the 2 associates talk about the hot guy in their class...she comes back with "is this what you wanted"  Marlboro Reds..."no...the lights"..she comes back  "what was that you wanted?"  forget it..

Don't know if you have dunkin donuts there but here, you order at the drive in speaker...and in the 2 seconds it takes to get the window...they've got your order all screwed up....

Jim I sure dont have to beat the crowd down in the frozen peas...but the meat section...omg ya always got like 20 people in the way, none of which will leave their carts behind, everyone always has to have their cart right up to the railing as if someones gonna steal their goodies from the cart if its not right with them lol

and the tylenol thing you mentioned..that reminds me...my aunt takes the Tylenol Arthritis brand...what a total crock of crapp rip off that is...its insanely expensive and you know what it is?? its like 650 mg of aceto and NOTHING ELSE in it!! You can buy the store brand of aceto for like 1 or 2 bucks and take basically the same dosage for a FRACTION of the price! its downright shameful how Tylenol rips people off. I think most people think they are getting an extra "secret" ingredient when they pay that extra money for the "arthritiis" formula and its no different!

back to GA's counting change....how about when they just plop the change, bills and coins, receipts, coupons, etc in your hand all at once and expect you to move on so they can take care of the next guy...I just stand there and sort the change out, the receipt coupons,bills...taking my time..

OK..we make our coffee in one of those Keurig coffee makers..you use "k cups" which come in a variety of flavors and make 1 cup of coffee..now..my wife likes french vanilla...they never have it..I've asked the dept mgr to get them to add it, I've written notes..even talked to the store mgr..I said "c'mere" and walked over to their coffee station where a customer can get a cup..opened the cabinet and there's french vanilla for customer to buy in single cups...then I walk him over to the K cup display and inquire as to why they don't have it there for customers to buy?  "well, gee I don't know sir...but I'll find out and I'll get it for ya"...that was 8 months ago...still waiting...however, discovered a coffee store up the street that sells it..so we're now all set..

yes, the meat section is so true....and you know just the meat  you want (in the form of beef pork or chicken) and as soon as you reach for it, somebody steps in front of you..

The worst for me is STUPID drivers...oh no that sounds like I have road rage...

But the grocery store is the most horrible place...weekends are the worst...I try soooo hard to be nice...but these dumbasses dont deserve to have a job...yes the chat while checking us out, they roll their eyes when something dont scan (like it is our fault), I have even had to bag my own groceries lately...WTF? I DO not do the drive up and let them load my groceries, cause they THROW them in my truck....
